The Ukrainian soldiers who were reportedly shown executing Russian prisoners of war (POWs) should suffer "pure punishment" in the form of a death penalty, former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev said Friday evening. "Many years ago, I was taught criminal law at university...they said criminal punishment consists of two elements: Correction and reeducation of criminals and punishment," Medvedev wrote in his Telegram group. "Death is the only pure punishment, for obvious reasons."

Medvedev continued, saying the "Ukrainian bastards who shot Russian servicemen should not receive any other punishment than a pure punishment. Even if it takes years to find them." Earlier on Friday, Russia's defense ministry claimed Ukraine had executed more than 10 Russian POWs, accusing Kyiv of carrying out war crimes that Moscow said the West ignores.

While I'm not claiming that the Western military forces all through the years have not been on occasion guilty of committing legit war crimes, the Soviet and Russian military basically could have written a text book on how to commit war crimes for entertainment and degradation of an enemy populace so, it's kind of hard to muster up any real sympathy for them.

As well, the Ruskies, (just like our own socialists, libtards and and commies at home in the US of A), have used the move of "accuse the other side of what you are actually doing yourself" for so long that I'm not inclined to believe them in this case.

If we are here to witness a final analysis of this war when/if it ends, which I doubt we will be, I think we'll find that there are plenty of war crimes to pass around to both combatants and sundry instigators and financiers.

We are too close to the end for all the evil in this particular war to be noted when it will be compared to the evil about to occur.
