Russia blames Ukraine for missile hitting Kyiv residential building
Ukraine said an apartment block and a site close to a kindergarten were hit, with US President Joe Biden saying the attacks were more evidence of Russia's "barbarism."

Russia's defense ministry on Monday denied responsibility for a missile that hit a Kyiv residential building over the weekend, saying it was likely caused by a failure of Ukraine's air defense system. Missiles struck the Ukrainian capital Kyiv for the first time in weeks on Sunday. Ukraine said an apartment block and a site close to a kindergarten were hit, with US President Joe Biden saying the attacks were more evidence of Russia's "barbarism" in its offensive against Ukraine.

In a statement, the Russian defense ministry said on Monday it had fired four missiles that hit their target, an arms factory in Kyiv. However, the ministry said it believed a Ukrainian Buk missile defense system by mistake intercepted a Ukrainian-fired S-300 air defense missile which then "fell on a residential building."

Russian media, just like the American left accuses it's opponents of what they themselves do. I saw an amazing video on reddit in the Ukrainian Conflict sub that purportedly showed a Russian Ground to Air system misfire with the result that the missile looped back around almost immediately after launch and took out the ground system that had fired it. I cannot imagine the horror the Air Defense crew must've felt in those final few seconds of their lives.

Don't know if it was real and if so, was it sabotage by angry workers in the Russian defense industry or an act of God himself? But accidents do happen to the Russian side, think they're trying to project their own system failures onto their foes.

All sorts of stuff happens in war, including accidents and malfunctions. Part of being a Soldier. Mercifully, it would've been quick.
