Rapture will cause Chaos on the earth?

I wonder if unbelievers will hear something but not know anything about it, thinking of Paul on way to Damascus he heard Jesus, others heard something but couldn't make out what it was. Acts ch. 9 v 7.

God loves his Creation and wants none to perish so I believe He will use a multitude of ways to change unbelief to belief before a person dies. If He wills it then unbelievers will hear what He wants them to hear at the Rapture. Before He takes us to our Father's house, the Bride will see her Savior face to face and all will be understood. I've often thought how Jesus longs to hear our Father say, "The time has come, My Son! Go and be with your Bride!" I can only imagine...

My comment is not how fast we'll change but on the words precede, first then after that, the word THEN. Can't understand why people are ignoring those two words.

I have to say I agree that the possibility of a measurable gap exists. God is certainly able to compress the entire change, dead rising first, and our rising into an "atomos" of time, and He may do it like that. But there is also precedence for a slower upper-taking: Elijah and Elisha, and Jesus' Ascension were both witnessed. Those were for the benefit of the witnesses, and I can't say they are the definitive model, but the possibility it could happen similarly is open in my opinion. However, the Rapture doesn't start the Trib, so He may not move in openly visible supernatural ways at that Event.

It is all done in a flash, but there has to be a gap if your talking a bout 6 or 7 going up it's different to hundreds of thousands or millions. It says we certainly will not precede those going before us, so they'll go first then I repeat then we who are alive will meet Jesus, so there's definitely a gap, how big is difficult to answer but imo it's totally impossible to assume its less than a second, as spock used to say not logical captain.

God is merciful, He might spare the left behind, and not have it happen during rush hour in the heavily Christian areas. As for Christian pilots in the air, if they fly commercial, the copilot might not be a Christian and could take over for him. Again, depends on how many Christians are involved.

I think it will be VERY hard on the service industries, like hospitals, ambulance, fire, police and the armed services. That might add to the chaos.

Even in the case of the sleeping virgins of Matthew 25, somebody woke them up.

That may not be a Rapture passage but I think we would all have cognitive awareness of what's happening.

It won't be just the instantaneous massive number of calls for service. It'll also be the suddenly massively short-staffed (or possibly totally unstaffed) agencies to respond. Don't forget overwhelmed 911 lines and short-staffed or totally unstaffed 911 call centers. Even now, there are times and places that 911 answers with a recording and callers wait "forever" to talk to a call taker or dispatcher.

Almost all the firefighters, cops, EMS, doctors, nurses, etc. I know are Christians. Most dispatchers I know are related in some way to emergency responders, or are first responders working 911 as part-timers.

One of the law enforcement departments where I used to work, all but 2 officers and all but 1 support person, were Christians (at that time).
The other law enforcement departments where I used to work, AFAIK, everyone was Christian (at that time). One of the departments had officer-led corporate Christian prayer during roll call at the beginning of the shift.

When I go to the VA, all of the providers I have happen to be Christian. There are non-Christian providers and staff there, as evidenced by attire, but most of the employees there appear to be Christian, as indicated by worn crosses, tattoos, what they say and how they say it, sometimes seeing them pray with or for patients, etc. Pretty much all the employees at the community care facility I go to are Christian.

That is exactly what I was thinking.

Most people who serve to heal and protect others do so out of a God given sense of compassion. The good ones have that mercy aspect to them that keeps them from being bad nurses, firefighters, EMS, cops and armed forces.

A lot of those merciful good ones are saved because they have that need to be salt and light, to be there on people's worst days, to rescue whomever they can.

I think there will suddenly be a huge lack of officers, nurses, EMTs as they are called here, and those who put their lives on the line for others like firefighters and army/navy/airforce/marines who lay their lives down to protect their country.

At the same time as accidents, hysterical people suddenly missing their spouse, their children or babies and there will be some chaotic stuff going on for a while till they can regroup to use the resources they still have. That might take a while. And require a "man with a plan" as one bible teacher calls the AC.

Bless your heart for thinking of those with allergies (like me) and breathing problems and on oxygen. Lord wouldn’t this be a good day to sound the trumpet? This world is such a mess it is far too stressful for the saved to deal with the sin enveloping everything. Sign me weary.

Or a Christian musical group/artist disappearing in the middle of a performance. Or the Christian members of a symphony disappearing during a concert. Or the Christians at a football game, car race, etc. disappearing. Having it happen during the Super Bowl would allow hundred of millions/billion(s) to see it happen

Or a salesperson pestering you to get car extended warranty then poof, you're gone. That would be golden.
