Rapture/Tribulation almost simultaneous?

I’ve followed great watchmen for decades. I believe the moment the church is taken, the restraining power of evil is gone and the devil knows he has but a short time and catastrophic events unfold immediately. It’s “a sudden violent snatching, of church, as if from danger.” Now some teachers suggest there’s possibly a certain number of days, then tribulation starts. Like, for the 40 days of the Son of Man on earth (Mount Zion) before tribulation starts. Next Q: If we’re with Christ during seven day wedding or seven year wedding, does Christ bring the judgement?
Thank you in advance.

We do know from scripture that the rapture does not trigger the tribulation, but from Daniel 9 we know its the AC affirming the 7 year treaty thats starts the seven year tribulation.

On this forum, as with many others, you will get a mixture of answers about if there is a gap. I believe a lengthy gap will be needed after the rapture for the OWG to form, out of which comes the AC. Only a catastrophic event IMO, will cause the need for a OWG, and the rapture could be what causes that need.

When a person is snatched out of the way of an on going train..the train dosen't stop nor does it slow down and the car left behind on the track is demolished..this is literally what the greek word used means..

I believe everything needed for the OWG will be either already in full swing or ready to go at the time of the rapture..I believe a month won't pass before the new world leader will show up with his so called wonderful ideas and be gladly ushered in by all mankind..his first order of business? Make peace in the middle east..after all..his islamic friends will be shaking in their boots for fear of Israel..he has to aliviate that right?

Since from Daniel we know that the OWG and the division into 10 Kingdoms will precede the revealing of the man of perdition, it is also very possible that the Church will still be around for those events, which could take some time to come to pass @Kimberly D. God has promised to spare us from His wrath, not all the wickedness leading up to the revealing of the man of perdition. However it plays out, there may be little or a lot of time between the Rapture and the beginning of Tribulation.

Personally, I've seen enough and am very ready for the Rapture.

I think it has been said that the terms used in the Bible for the rapture refer to the physical departure of the church from "the time and place" of the wrath of God.

The wrath of God will be the entire 7 year Tribulation period. How far before the Tribulation period, we do not know. The Bible does not specifically say.

I can see points being made for 3.5 years or longer to just days or hours before the Tribulation period. I think God is very long-suffering and it would not surprise me if the rapture went up right near the start of the Tribulation period. In the grand scheme of the church age (2,000 years) whether it is 3.5 years or 3.5 days that is a very short time in comparison to the total church age. So, for these reasons I don't try to set dates or worry about that too much.

We have a job to do while we are here. Eternal destinies are in the balance. Every single person on this planet will go one of two places. Heaven OR Hell.

We need to be about the Father's business and let Him worry about the timing of the rapture and other end times events. JMHO.

I imagine when we are on the other side in Heaven we will be able to look back with Him and see why things played out like they did from the Father's POV. We might think today should be the day of the rapture, but up there I tend to think we will get the full view and see why God decided for the rapture to happen when it did. He may share that with us or maybe He won't. I don't know for sure. I guess it doesn't matter either way. But I know that we can trust Him to do what is right and what is best. :thumbup

While it is fun sometimes to speculate on them, it should not be our main focus. JMHO.

Let's take as many people as we can while there is still time left! :thumbup

Because Daniel's prophecy was given to a Jewish audience, it is believed that this is a literal reference to a future event taking place in a reconstructed "Third Temple". The Antichrist will break his covenant, cause Jewish sacrifices to cease, and enter the temple and show himself to be God (2 Thess 2:4). This is what we call the Abomination of Desolation. The covenant is commonly considered to be a type of peace deal that Israel enters into with the Antichrist. Once this agreement is made, then the Tribulation will start.

As everyone has already said, we don’t really know. I’m of the mind that the only reason a one world government hasn’t been formed is because of the Holy Spirit still restraining until after the rapture happens. I suppose my current leaning is toward a OWG being formed nearly instantaneously after the rapture. After seeing the world ‘come together’ against Covid and now Russia, I believe that everything is already in place, they just need a major crisis to implement it. Covid wasn’t enough, global warming won’t be enough, but the rapture will be. Whether it looks like a functioning government right off the bat or not, I think it will be rolling within a couple of weeks after the snatching away. To me, this explains why rosh and friends will be able to attack Israel and then the ‘peace’ treaty comes.

Pastor David Jeremiah, a solid teacher in my opinion, is of the thought that the tribulation begins immediately after the rapture. At least that's what he said on his 'Where do we go from here?' series. Dwight Pentecost, another well respected teacher/author, believes there is a gap of 7 years. So, lots of Godly people have differing opinions. Personally, I think there will be a relatively short gap between the rapture and the tribulation, maybe 2 years.

I would tend to put the start of the Trib as very close to the Rapture, as the purpose of the Rapture is to get us out of the way before it can start. But I also think there are things that need to be in place before the Trib can begin that aren't there yet (such as a 10 king world govt), which mean that either the Rapture isn't imminent or there's a gap. Then there's the problem of how the Anti-Christ could get that 7 year peace treaty signed if millions of people had literally just disappeared (I have serious trouble imagining the world leaders just carrying on as normal, at least in the short term). So that leads me to think there will be a gap, but a "smallish" gap. Maybe a month? Which is enough time to have the elites pull themselves out of the world-wide freak-out that's bound to happen, and jump on the crisis to "band together in this hour of world need" and form both a 10 king system, and get the Preace Treaty with Israel hammered out.

So, could be longer or shorter of a gap. We could be here for the 10 king world govt. We could be here for the destruction of Damascus or the Ezek 38 war. Or we could be gone for it all. Only God knows.

Thank you very much. I keep seeing, though I try not to, the faces of my sons the moment something catastrophic happens that might include the escape, and I’ve been praying and crying over them for years. That must be my primary motivation. I cannot stop seeing what’s coming. But I’ve always been this way. At 17, finally agreeing to attend high school football game with girlfriends, I looked across the field at the other stands and saw/or imagined, people dying without Christ (and what follows.) TY❤️

Think about the chaos that will follow the Rapture. Even if the number of those who are Raptured from our nation is small, our removal will result in accidents with cars, trucks, planes, trains, etc. Think about those who’s jobs are say an air traffic controller….what will follow when say, they are gone.

It will take awhile, although not long IMHO because of the way the government tells people what they will do, to put things back in order so they can micromanage our disappearing…the last thing I heard was that we have all been gathered up and are being re-educatEd so that we will be like them…..

I agree with your “gap.” And definitely know that we are to be about “our Father’s business,” but its nice to think about being out of this sin filled world we are in!

Me too, sister. Kindred spirits, tender hearts. We press and pray on. For family members, I've been praying for the Lord to send fresh voices or bring anything He likes out of His creative arsenal...dreams, podcasts, books, songs, billboards, a child's voice ("out of the mouths of babes"), movies, new friends/business contacts, a resurrected memory of a previously planted seed or "near miss"...anything...and sometimes I "trade" loved ones with an intercession buddy who has one too. ❤

next will be China; or Russia move toward Finland, Sweden? Who know as we can't control them. Only God control their Final Destiny

Same. I'm so world weary at this point. I'm grateful for God's sustaining help but I long for me and mine to be home together. Finally, eternally safe.
I’ve been past ready to get the show on the road so to speak. I’m very impatient to see Jesus. I’m tired of this world. There are so many things I have lost interest in that are in this world. Ready to move into my new house.
