The lady that was my Pastor’s wife whom the Church recently closed, posted this on Facebook, yesterday. She copied it from another writer. Kenneth Copeland among others was in the picture.

“I’m amazed every time I read a post from someone criticizing another minister who has given their entire life to the call of God-usually without the facts or knowing the person at all, and all with decades of fruitful service. I have been in the ministry in some form for over 40 years, and still feel as though I have so much to learn, and certainly not qualified to judge. I am so thankful for my father in the faith and the mentors I’ve had in my life. The main thing they all resounded-no matter what, “Keep the love walk number one. You’re not the judge. You might not have done as well as the person you’re criticizing if you were in the same situation.”

She got upset when she sent me a video of Kenneth Copeland and I told her that he made me nervous. I know her and her husband discussed this because he made the comment that he hoped that he hoped I was not offended by him using a Kenneth Copeland Bible Study.

I feel hurt that after they are no longer my Pastors that she felt that she had to go after me. Am I wrong to be upset?

I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. 2 Timothy 4:1-5

I don't think you are wrong to be upset.
However , pray for them and ask God to give you peace about this particular issue and where it stems from.
I pray and hope the Lord leads you to a new wonderful church .
The Lord shuts doors and the Lord opens doors.
He is faithful.
Always.

I posted what Pat said already. I have always gotten along with her husband but I had disagreed with her when she said that all you had to was claim healing. I claimed healing for my son till the day he died and I know that it was not lack of faith that kept him from, being healed.

I guess they missed the verses that talk about marking false teachers and to avoid them. That those who preach a false gospel are cursed.

Christians like her are infuriating because they take "Love" to mean you never disagree with anything or anyone.

Love means telling the truth not sugar coating it. There are many teachers who tickle the ears. If people would just read their :biblethey would be able to discern truth and lies.

Yes, Janice, they could if they would read the Scriptures that God inspired. Instead, they buy a study Bible by Kenneth Copeland or some other false but famous person and spend more time reading the commentary section than they do the actual verses. The Holy Spirit enlightens the mind and leads us into truth if we read what God wrote in His Word. These people with their false study Bibles circumvent the work of the Holy Spirit because they ignore the Scriptures except to read them through the lens of the false teachers comments.

That's exactly right. I once met with a Pastor's wife who was leading a Bible study. They weren't studying the Bible but that stupid book called "Girl wash your face." I just did an invisible face palm in my head. How is that a Bible study?!

That book is so ridiculous. It's all about elevating self. I couldn't make past the first page without seeing it was garbage. I kept reading and man it was painful. I only read it to know what was popular in Christian circles at the time. Sadly, the author ended up getting divorced a few years later. Color me surprised.
