Possible timing of the OWG

Realizing it’s not for me to determine, but I think the number of born again Christians in America is overstated. And I don’t see it getting any better. I truly hope I’m wrong.
You may have a valid point here. There is so much apostasy going on in the American churches that the population of true believers is shrinking by the day. It makes you wonder if we will really be missed after all. In Revelation the Church of Philadelphia is the only church that is promised to be kept from the hour of testing that will come upon the entire world.

Revelation 3:10-11 "Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. Behold, I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown."

I speculate almost the same as you have stated. I think there will enough people gone to notice, but maybe not as many as we think. The children will cause the most disruption, imagine waking up and your kids are gone, then you find out that is world wide. It will be no hope of finding them. I think the economy will collapse, people will be even more fearful than with the covid, probably won't go to work. God only knows what the news will broadcast, aliens or whatever.
I feel sorry for anyone left behind, but I also feel God gives everyone a chance. Hope the revival is great and that everyone remembers what they have been told before but didn't believe.

Imperfect but forgiven
Sometimes, I wonder if you read my posts on this subject.:tapping

From the above post #26

However, every past attempt to establish a OWG has failed. Why? I believe the below is the answer. When He departs, we depart.

Sorry, many posts in this thread and more than one verse. I don't think the verse you pointed out is really relevant to the timing of the OWG. I do read your posts, Sir, but my mind has never been good at long term retention.

The verse you put into the OP of this thread doesn't address the title of the thread either. However, there are Bible verses that do. I've posted them more than a couple of times when this topic comes up.

I hope all the children under the age of accountability will be taken, not just for their own sake, but to hopefully wake up their parents and remind them if what their crazy Christian friends and family had told them about. And then when they do come to Christ and suffer all the trials and tribulations they can rest assured knowing their kids are protected from that. At least, the young ones. Older kids would be different. And the age of accountability is not a fixed number either. There are lots of testimonies of very young children coming to Christ and sticking with the faith of their youth.

It's why we parents can't neglect the teaching of the Word to our children. Saying, "oh, they will learn it at Sunday School" or "I send them to a Christian School". The truth needs to be reaffirmed every day. When I taught Sunday School years ago I could tell the children who knew their Bible stories from home and those who only got it at church.

I agree so much with what you say about parents teaching their children about the Word of God. It's their children. They also need to teach them right from wrong, what sex they are (before they enter school), the difference between the sexes, how to treat others, etc.
It's a parents responsibility. If you leave it to others, don't worry, they will teach them.

I remember I was once watching some America's Got Talent videos on YouTube. We no longer got any TV stations so I was catching up that way. Anyways, one of the acts was a bunch of big, strong Asian men who danced while all wearing bright red high-heels. While I am sure it is physically tough to do those moves while wearing full-on stilettos it looked so odd. My then-3 year old walked in, crinkled her nose and said, "those boys are wearing girls' shoes! They can't do that! Only girls can!" I wanted to protect her innocence so I just said that it was very silly and she was right about that.

I still want to protect my kids as much as possible but I have had to tell them that there are people out there who say silly things like "the sky is green and water is dry" and get angry if you disagree with them. I have explained a little about people wanting to say that boys can be girls and girls and be boys. They think it is so ludicrous so I tell them that's why they need to remember the truth because people will use fancy and smart-sounding words to try to trick them but it's still just silly.

I think about this too. Churches are on every corner in so many places. TV has many preachers telling people how to be saved. Printed material abounds. The internet has much on salvation if a person wants to find out about it. I cannot see that there is any excuse. I’m not trying to be harsh here just telling it as I see it.

Bless you for trying to navigate this world as a Christian raising young children.

Their kids being gone then finding out other people’s kids are gone will be an unimaginable shock.
