Pope Gives Mary Three More Titles
By Mike Gendron

Pope Francis has approved the inclusion of three additional invocations in the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary, also called the Litany of Loreto. Her new titles include: "Mother of Mercy", "Mother of Hope", and "Comfort of Migrants." Read more.

We have to wonder why Mary needs more titles. She already has so many. Here are just a few of the others the Catholic Church has given to her: Advocate, Ark of the Covenant, Comfort of the Afflicted, Gate of the Dawn, Holy Mary, Immaculate Heart of Mary, Immaculate Virgin, Mediatrix of all Grace, Mother of Sorrows, Mother for the Journey, Mother of the Church, Mother of God, Mystical Rose, Our Lady of the Annunciation, Our Lady of Charity, Our Lady of Providence, Our Lady of Ransom, Our Lady of Solitude, Our Lady, Star of the Sea, Queen of All Saints, Queen of Angels, Queen of Apostles, Queen of Confessors, Queen of Families, Queen of Martyrs, Queen of Patriarchs, Queen of Prophets, Queen of Virgins, Queen of the World, and Refuge of Sinners.

The pope also entrusted China to Mary's protection. He said, "We entrust the pastors and faithful of the Catholic Church in that great country to the guidance and protection of our Heavenly Mother, so that they may be strong in faith and firm in fraternal union, joyful witnesses and promoters of charity and fraternal hope, and good citizens." Also, “Queen of the Universe”. There’s a church with that name.
Mary is also known as the Queen of Heaven. The same title is also used in the bible to describe the idolatry worship of Ashtoreth:

Jeremiah 7:18 The children gather wood, the fathers light the fire, and the women knead the dough and make cakes to offer to the Queen of Heaven. They pour out drink offerings to other gods to arouse my anger.

Jeremiah 44:17-19 We will certainly do everything we said we would: We will burn incense to the Queen of Heaven and will pour out drink offerings to her just as we and our ancestors, our kings and our officials did in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. At that time we had plenty of food and were well off and suffered no harm. 18But ever since we stopped burning incense to the Queen of Heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, we have had nothing and have been perishing by sword and famine." 19The women added, "When we burned incense to the Queen of Heaven and poured out drink offerings to her, did not our husbands know that we were making cakes impressed with her image and pouring out drink offerings to her?"

Ashtoreth also known as Asherah or Ishtar is mentioned numerous times in the bible. For example, King Ahab's wife, Jezebel, mandated that her religion should be the national religion of Israel and organized guilds of prophets of Ba'al (450) and Asherah (400). As a result, Jezebel is described as an enemy of God who was "killing off the Lord's prophets" (1 Kings 18:4).

“Mother there is your son, son there is your mother”

Words spoken to Mary, and supposedly to John, by Jesus as he hung on the cross.

It was tradition for a woman to be handed over to the care of a man, usually a male relative if she was left alone due to widowhood or loss of her children

From that moment Mary moved in to the same house as the apostle the scriptures state and treated him like a son, and he treated her like his own mother. John 19:26-27

There of course may have been other reasons for this, but given that she lived with an apostle, presumably until she passed away, then if as the RCC allege, the ’assumption’ of Mary would have been well documented by the apostles and be part of the Scriptures. An event of this magnitude happening in the presence of one or more of the apostles, would have carried for them, some great significance. Also, had she departed this way and it meant anything, God would most likely have explained it by His angels or even from the mouth of Mary herself.

Since there is total silence on the fate of Mary after the crucifixion, we can only therefore assume that no such glorification of Mary occurred and she simply passed on the same as everyone else.

The RCC allege she was ‘raptured’ and glorified, but there is no biblical evidence of that. This could have been the main reason that Jesus handed her into the care of ‘the apostle He loved’, so that 100’s of pope’s in 2,000 years of time couldn’t fool the ‘saved’ by such lies.

Mary herself declared she needed a saviour in Luke 1:46-47

She clearly couldn’t save herself, how then can she save anyone else outside of her own son, the Lord, God and saviour that she needed as much as we do.

I shudder to think what God feels when people pray to her instead of to Him through the Son and no one else.

Exactly.

The OBSESSION with Mary was the primary reason that I left the Catholic Church!

We know that she was a blessed woman with a lovely, humble spirit, and I look forward to meeting her in Heaven. But she would NEVER want to be venerated and obsessed over. She would be appalled by it.

She has more Catholic titles than Jesus Christ, God Himself! So, so very wrong...
