As I described in my thread , Jim definitely saw someone, so I think of Rocky's doorway as a veil.Death is not a wall, it's a doorway. People do not end in oblivion, they relocate to another dimension -- Heaven or Hell. A tunnel? Since Heaven and Hell are different dimensions spanning enormous distances from Earth (a great gulf fixed), the tunnel may be what they call in science fiction a "wormhole", a means of interstellar, or in this case inter-dimensional travel from one point to a place outside the universe. The Norse had their myths, but some hidden truths may be gleaned from it. They believed in a "rainbow bridge" that was a gateway to all the "nine realms" of the universe, calling it BIFROST. I took their term and turned it into an acronym, rendering B.I.F.R.O.S.T. as Bilateral Interdimensional Foray Running Over Space-Time. I believe we who are believers are assigned a guardian angel to husband be with us thru life, and to escort us into the presence of Almighty God. Perhaps saints who have earned special rewards (martyrs?) take a ride there on chariots of fire.

Unless the door is wide open...
Yes...in the prayer requests...Prayer request for me and my family.Marianne, did you start a prayer thread? I haven’t seen it if so. What is the title? You know I’m praying for you!
What happens? We don't know who may be reading different posts on here and this is a very good discussion in answer to the question - what happens one second after you die?
Suddenly, you hear a vaguely familiar voice coupled with a vaguely familiar face, calling out, "Hey Stanley!"Yes, I enter the Kingdom like a kid.
A chariot of fire. The Cadillac of all chariots. I Chuck Missler say once that when we die, he believed we are led by an Angel to be with Christ and that then we would see the "behind the scenes" war going on over this planet and the souls within.
Glad to be back, am really going to be working hard at staying more connected... I sort of forgot how nice it is to be around those who love the Lord Jesus![]()
I love this, I'll have to remember that one.My life here on earth is the only “hell” I’ll ever know. For the unsaved it’s the only heaven they’ll ever know. Eternity is a very long time.
Yes! It will be better than we can even conceive in our dimension-ally challenged minds.mum is the word
1Cor 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
Moosejive, when my grandma was dying, she would be “out” but humming music. She’d wake up and ask if I heard the “church music”. All the while counting stitches in the blanket with her fingers. She waited for me to go outside to smoke and when I came back she was gone Home.I was with my aunt the last few days before she died of emphysema from years of smoking cigarettes. A slow way to go, but she was very clear minded when awake, but would periodically be semi comatose and unable to arouse her. Then, in a couple hours she would be back and lucid and clear minded.
I asked her one time, “Where are you when you’re not awake?” She said she’s out at “the farm.” Her grandparents had a farm-in east central Iowa that was the site for many family get togethers and reunions. She was out there for a party, but was out on the periphery. She said she was meeting many people she had always heard about, but never met because they had died before she was born or was a small child. Each time she came back to the farm she was closer into the”party”.
One time when she came back from a period of not wakening easily. I asked her where she had been. She told me that she had learned why things had had to happen in her life and it made sense now. She’d had periods that weren’t very happy, but now seemed quiet and accepting of them because she understood why things happened the way they had.
I asked her how she got to the farm, she waved her hand towards a corner of the room by the ceiling and told me it just started to appear there and filled in until she was at the farm. Another time when we were just quietly talking because her roommate was napping, she said,” The room is very crowded .” There were just 3 of us physically there, but evidently there were quite a few more unseen visitors.
I, also, was with my dad in hospice and noted he was reaching his hand up to the side of his bed when appearing to be asleep. I have the feeling there quite a few visitors in that room too.
I think that when a person I’d very close to death, they can see things of both sides of the veil we call death. The screen that prevents us from seeing another dimension is very thin or maybe their spirit is able to go back and forth between the two dimensions.
Anyway, we are told in the Bible that Jesus prepares a place for us and it’s going to be a BIG party when we go home to Him...... What a day that will be!
Not only is it so true, but it is also a great witnessing tool.I love this, I'll have to remember that one.![]()
I heard that at the point of death, someone's life flashes in front of their eyes. All their life since childhood flashes faster in the first seven seconds. I'm not sure if it's true but I have ever had an out-of-body experience when I was sick. I saw myself traveling through a tunnel to the other side.
I believe death is not the end of someone's life. Another life begins after you die. Either in heaven or in hell.

This is awesome because it shows that the Lord will give an unbeliever every possible chance to be saved, even up until the moment of death. It shows how merciful He truly is.That’s beautiful. I love the farm and her getting answers! Were they believers? I was reading a thread on Reddit last night, and a nurse said it was people knowing they were going to die and talking with “dead” family that took some getting used to. I did a lot of research when my uncle was dying, and it’s not uncommon for people to converse with loved ones who’ve long been dead and to hold off their dying until a loved one can accept it.
I had an uncle years ago in the hospital. He was very sick. He was unsaved. He came out of the hospital on fire for God. He said he was dying, and Jesus was quietly standing on one side of his bed holding out His hand. Satan was on the other side jumping up and down and making a lot of noise.
Our hope, our salvation, is such a wonderful thing. We can know death is just a temporary separation.
