Officials Bracing For 18,000 Migrants Per Day If Title 42 Is Rescinded; Republicans Slam Biden Admin For National Security Threats

House Republicans, led by Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), held a press conference on Monday blasting President Joe Biden’s handling of the Southern Border and warned that the situation would get worse after Title 42, the public health-related immigration provision that allows expedited deportation for migrants who enter the country, is set to officially end on May 23.

Republican members of Congress told reporters Monday evening that the immigration crisis at the border is already a national security issue that is emboldening transnational drug cartels while making “every county a border county.” McCarthy also revealed that when he and a group of GOP colleagues previously visited the border, illegal aliens told them they were coming across precisely because of President Joe Biden’s words. Many Republicans — including McCarthy — blame the deluge of illegal aliens on Biden directly, in part, for undoing border measures instituted by former President Donald Trump.

During a question and answer session, McCarthy explained that the “border crisis, goes down to the foundation of your nation, it goes down to the security of your nation, it goes down to the human trafficking, it goes down to fentanyl. There are so many elements to hear.”

To that extent, Katko said, “Right now, we’re seeing about 8,000 aliens a day coming across — 8,000 — operational control is about 5,000. They expect that once Title 42 is rescinded, it will go up to as much as 18,000 a day,” Katko also said. “There’s no way that we can control the border in any way, shape, or form if that happens.”

He was telling me that when his daughters were old enough to drive he put up an electric fence with 4 strands of wire, so his daughters would be save. He has spoken to several members of Congress and how this problem has to be stopped! The illegals have been flown or bused from towns in The Valley, to cities in other states! What is contrary to the actions by this administration is they are crying out to the sovereignty of Ukraine and it's right to protect its borders and democracy yet they pretty much have opened our border freely to the world, anyone can waltz in here, no vetting, no care who they are, they even supply migrants with debit cards that can be regenerated every two weeks all on taxpayers expense, they are picked up at the border flown to multiple states and are proved with housing and healthcare, food stamps and other social services again on taxpayers expense, and from what's reported there's an estimated 8,000 migrants crossing the southern border daily not including "get aways" now expecting more than 18,000 to flood into the US when the title 42 expires next month. This is reality. The US is no longer a sovereign nation with open borders! But we are supporting Ukraine's sovereignty? What's happening there is wrong but the pretense used by this administration is to help the Ukrainians defend their sovereignty, yet have removed the sovereignty from our own country by having open borders. Don't remember who said this but someone said a nation without borders is no longer a nation. And nothing is being done to control the influx of migrants coming from all over the world. Including people on terrorist watch list, walking the red carpet that the administration has layed out for them, "welcome, by all means come in and live on the American taxpayer and take advantage of all the freebies and while at it, set up your concession stand to sell your fentanyl just be sure the government gets a revenue from it". Despicable. And in the words from the recent comment on the ending of title 42 from Senator Joe Manchin (D) , "this is frightening"
