If this happened during Colonial times the colonists would get a mob together, go to the mayor's mansion (taxpayer supported of course) drag him out, tar and feather him, then ride him out of town on a rail. In these days people will grumble about it and just accept it. We have become way to fat and lazy to take any action. Not that I necessarily support violence, but when someone is coming after you and your family self-defense is a viable option. I read some articles about the Bolshevik revolution written by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn and he said that if people really understood what would happen under Lenin and Stalin that they would have fought the Bolsheviks with everything they could to prevent the future horrors.

Wonder what would happen if ALL the working folks stopped paying their taxes, and everyone stopped sending their
children to unsafe, propoganda-spouting schools, and refused to go to the voting polls??? We are not getting anything out
of doing these things anyway................ I know it will never happen, but it's interesting to think about.

The Jewish woman that escaped from USSR that was my (public) HS Russian teacher/tutor used Russian-language Gulag Archipelago (Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn) as the textbook. I had to buy my own book, but fortunately in Minnesota the book was widely available. At that time, there wasn't yet an English translation, so no cheating :lol

Content-wise, the book was hard, but far, far better than a regular textbook would have been. It imparted some very important lessons and knowledge.

That woman was one of the best teachers I ever had. The Principal of my school used to pay her out his own pocket while she was waiting for Immigration, etc. to approve her to stay. She ended up in Canada because of visa, asylum, and work permit issues in the US, so I lost the opportunity to learn Russian and about the real-world USSR from someone that BTDT and survived to tell about it. The US even tried to deport her back to the USSR :eek :mad :cry I often wonder what happened to her and hope she has had a good life, didn't get sent back to USSR, and come to saving faith.

The Lord God promises protection to His own. It’s like sitting in a chair while watching that tornado from the “Wizard of Oz” swirling around us! I feel like Dorothy more and more every day! Just wannna go home, only NOT to Auntie Em’s, but to my Fathers’s House!

It's not just higher income people. The Biden plan is to raise fees from anyone with a good credit score to subsidize those with bad credit scores. What is the point of working to pay bills on time and live within your means if you're going to be penalized for having good credit?

People would have to figure how to stop their payroll tax, but the 15.4% or whatever it is SS and Medicare tax would still be withheld unless employers refused to withhold it.

Then the govmint had the audacity to blame the banks for the collapse and after the dust settled fined banks for selling the bad paper as quickly as they could.
