At one time I had a lot of respect for the Catholics due to their firm stance on abortion when other denominations were caving to the leftist mobs. When you believe that giving a certain number of canned hams to the poor can get you into heaven, I can see how easy it would be to accept other doctrines contrary to the Word.

I didn't know most of what you speak of the Catholics. Wow, scary. I'll never see them the same again. I guess the question I was going to ask seems benign. I wanted to know if President Biden is allowed to take holy communion?

It really doesn't matter if he takes it or not. The Roman Catholic “Holy Communion” is not the same as the Christian's memorial service. Sadly, they are being deceived on a massive scale. Christ instituted His eating of the bread and drinking of the wine for us to remember how He gave His body and blood on the cross for the atonement of our sins. Like the Jews celebrate Passover to remind them of what God had done in Egypt, when the angel of death passed over the houses of the Israelites who had the blood applied to the sides of their doors and the lintel - and also pointed forward as a sign that the Messiah would appear and allow Himself to be sacrificed and would shed His blood and would save those who spiritually applied Christ's blood to cover their sins by believing and trusting on Him - Christians by partaking in the communion remembrance service look at the bread and wine as symbols of Jesus' body and blood, and look back at what Christ had accomplished for us in order to save us. Unfortunately, for Catholics, the popes have turned that memorial service into something foreign to Scripture: they claim that their priests have the power to turn a lifeless, inanimate gluten wafer into the actual body and blood of Jesus Christ, in a ruse they label as Transubstantiation. Each and every wafer to them is the body of Christ and the wine turns into Jesus actual blood. It is a pagan, idolatrous, and blasphemous rite that is wrong on so many levels. They even have Eucharistic adoration services where the “faithful” adore a man-made wafer as the actual God of the universe. Satan has these people beguiled. If they can worship a wafer as God, what chance have they got when the devil's false Christ shows up and demands worship? Unless they repent and open up the Bible and gain discernment from the Holy Spirit, they are doomed to easily fall prey to a greater scam that is coming, much more devious than a transubstantiation hoax. It should be obvious to most that Biden is not a Christian. So whether or not he is involved in being allowed to partake of a Catholic mass and Eucharistic service - he could eat those “consecrated” hosts for the rest of his life and still be eternally lost - unless he repents, as we all have, and believes in Christ alone for redemption, he has an extremely dark future ahead of him.

My husband was raised Catholic and most of his family call themselves Catholic, although I don't think they go to church much. My husband is now saved and has shared the gospel with his family with 3 converts, I think!!
I have attended funerals in the Catholic church..the priest spoke of Jesus as the way to Sslvation. BUT...they still sang Ave Maria and said the rosary...Mother Mary pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.
I cant reconcile the two.
I didn't partake of their communion. I don't think I will attend another service there. I love the family but I'm not sure that church is a good place for me to be.

I was also raised Catholic and am so glad I got saved out of that mess. The Mormons talk about Jesus too, but that doesn't mean they're saved. Stay away from anything to do with Catholicism as their dogma will never lead you to the truth. We have beaten to death their beliefs on this forum so it's not worth mentioning them here. I have way too many friends and family caught up in that "religion." Sometimes I find it odd that we send missionaries to far away places when the Catholic church down the street is the perfect mission field.

I agree they do rosary beads, vain repetitious prayers for penance such as saying so many Our Fathers and Hail Mary's. They do not have the assurance of salvation by grace and Gods mercy. They need to personally accept
for their personal salvation. There is only 1 mediator between God and man . A priest does not have the power to absolve a person of their sins. It takes the blood of to do so.

Hello Jeff. I would agree, Catholicism uses some of the same (in a superficial sense) terms as believers, but it presents a completely different gospel. If it is permitted to post these statements here, then here is what the RCC at the Council of Trent said in session 6, on Justification:
Canon 9. If anyone says that the sinner is justified by faith alone, meaning that nothing else is required to cooperate in order to obtain the grace of justification, and that it is not in any way necessary that he be prepared and disposed by the action of his own will, let him be anathema.
Canon 11. If anyone says that men are justified either by the sole imputation of the justice of Christ or by the sole remission of sins, to the exclusion of the grace and the charity which is poured forth in their hearts by the Holy Ghost, and remains in them, or also that the grace by which we are justified is only the good will of God, let him be anathema.
Canon 24. If anyone says that justice received is not preserved and also not increased before God through good works, but that those works are merely fruits and signs of justification obtained, not the cause of its increase, let him be anathema.
Canon 30. If anyone say that after the reception of the grace of justification the guilt is so remitted and the debt of eternal punishment so blotted out ... that no debt of temporal punishment remains to be discharged ... before the gates of heaven can be opened, let him be anathema.
So from their own official teaching it's obvious the RCC is teaching the opposite of biblical Christianity. A completely false gospel of human works.

As Christians, we know that the grand design of the Father was to send His Son as the only means of salvation, and that plan was formulated before man was created or the foundation of the world was laid. The Bible points us to Jesus Christ; the Holy Spirit points us to Jesus Christ and Jesus affirms to us in John 14:6 that He is the Way, the Truth and the Life - no man comes to God but by Him alone”. We as Christians believe this.
The devil offers up his own brand of Christianity, completely foreign to God's Word. He has Catholics blinded to the truth and deceived by every doctrine of Romanism. He points them to a false version of Mary; a false gospel of works; a false Christ in the form of a wafer, who nonetheless is incapable of paying the complete penalty of our sins, and thus penances and Purgatory are needed; a false self-titled One True Church; a false holy father in their popes; a false vicar of Christ or representative of Christ on the Earth in their popes again, instead of the Holy Spirit. The devil has them beguiled by looking to everything or anything other than Jesus for redemption; they may pay lip service to Christ but it is a false version of our savior. Masses are needed to complete Jesus' atonement for our sins because His one time sacrifice was insufficient. Jesus supposedly couldn't cover the cost of all their sins, so a purging place was fabricated in Purgatory, but, their version of Mary can rescue them from the flaming torments of that place, by simply wearing a scapular with the image of her on it. Christ - God - came up short, obviously, in His horrific death on a cross, but a piece of cloth can rescue the Catholic faithful from an extended, undetermined amount of time of suffering in such a place. How bogus is a system like that?
