New Baseball Season

Im looking forward to the season starting late next week. I hope the Angels have a winning year after so many losing seasons. They have 2 of the best players in baseball, and if their pitching has improved, they could make the playoffs.

The Dodgers traded a few of my favorite players, but their lineup is again one of the best in baseball, so they should win 100 plus games again this year.

Im excited with some of the new rules, and hopefully the game moves at a faster pace.

Big time Yankees and Mets fan here…

Yankees Opening day is March 30 versus San Francisco. But most of our starting rotation is on the injured list. Thank God our ace is healthy.

Mets opening day is also March 30 but they’ll be on the road playing Miami.
When I was 10-12, I could name the starting lineup for the Yankees, from the 1920s. I was a huge baseball history fan, and especially stats and records. In grade school, my first ever oral book report was on Babe Ruth.

The Yankees are my second favorite AL team behind my home team Angels. I grew up 5 miles from Angel Stadium.

Most Met fans in NY can’t stand the Yankees and vice versa. There is a line from an old Billy Joel song, “the Yankees grab the headlines every time”

Thankfully, I don’t live in New York State anymore :lol

You guys on the West Coast almost got Aaron Judge. Nothing personal but I’m glad he’s going to stay a Yankee.

In the spring training games, the new pitch clock trimmed an average of 28 minutes off each game. It will be good this year to watch the game played as it was decades ago, with very little time in between pitches.
We got a really great pitcher who came back Zack Greinke who was once on the cover and a story of him in Sports Illustrated. Welcome Back Zack! :thumbup :thumbup

You are right it wouldn't be nice I wouldn't do that to you. We have won the World Series a few times. Jeff and I watched them on tv back in 2008, and they had a lot of players with the last name starting with a G. We thought that was funny. :bouncies
:bouncies:bounciesI was at the exciting game here in 1985 between the 2 Mo teams (Show Me State) K.C. Royals and St. Louis Cardinals. Dick Howser was our manager. We did win what a game it was. My son Michael was born in August of that same year.

So Justin Verlander is already on the Mets IL and he hasn’t even thrown a pitch in a regular season game. You can’t make this up.:lol I’m sure their former Ace Jacob deGrom who was always injured with the Mets and is now with the Texas Rangers will be fine.:lol

They had a sellout game. Wow! Exciting score 0-0 top of the 4th inning. Hope we get some action scoring soon! :biggrin

Jeff is listening to it online. We don't have or want tv service. Most of it is trash anyway, and we already pay for that. Our trash man comes tomorrow. The game is boring no one is scoring they will be snoring.

Dad can't hear or see it on my little netbook, even using his hearing aids :frown

Time to send an email to the Minnesota Twins and complain. I know Dad isn't the only elderly person with this issue :mad :tappingfoot
