Hi All, I'm a new member, so happy to have found you. Can't believe I didn't think of doing this a long time ago... I'm a Christian musician/artist based in Brisbane, Australia. Have been creating instrumental music pretty solidly for the past couple of years, I've recently created a channel on youtube, would love your thoughts LINK:

Some sites are banned from being posted here, YouTube is one of them. So you need to just name your channel in a post and let folks go to YouTube and search for it themselves.

Anyone else here randomly wake up in the morning and before you even have time to think you have a guitar riff and or bass/keyboard riff from a song stuck in your head?

I always have whatever song I last heard playing continually on loop in my brain. I have to be very careful about what I listen to the night before. I tend to zone in on vocals (melodies and harmonies) but if I pay attention to what's going on in my brain, I can hear the rest of the accompaniament.

I'm wanting to make my own music and maybe post it to YouTube. Buuuut I don't want to do video just sound with lyrics. Like a lyric video I guess is what you call it I'm working on learning how to piece everything together and looking up programs for it. But I heard you need programs for making lyric videos y'all have any advice on what's the best one for not a billion dollars and is simple to use since I am still new to all this stuff

Sorry, but I know very little about video production, just audio. So, aside from having a still photo up, I'd have to dig into it like you. Maybe someone here will be able to help?

You can get editing software to do scrolling lyrics, you can find karaoke videos on YouTube, so people clearly do it!

Google for YouTube editing software, also they themselves have some post production software too that can help you set your vids up once you upload them.

I am not an editor myself though so this all the help I can offer you just now. I have uploaded some test vids in the last week or so, and it's not difficult to do either

Very soon I will be able to do some of my videos I have done some tests and am happy with the video but not the sound. I am awaiting a sound mixer specially for recording quality stereo sound on smart phones to arrive. As soon as it does I will get a few done and uploaded, then if fine, over the course of the next few months I will do a couple every other week and upload.

Trying to persuade my colleague to smarten them up a bit and make them look more professional than I can do them.

thank you i appreciate it very much ive been trying to look stuff up to get stuff recorded i will ba making the YouTube channel to post but i just dont really want to do video recording for one im very camera shy and for two i dont like having myself all over the whole internet hahah i know im strange its just the world is going crazy fast and being a girl makes it more of a pain with all the creeps out there Ugg but i can do lyric video's with my original music. im working on one of my songs at the moment working on some keyboard and piano parts for the song i wrote in my other thread. so working on piano and keyboard parts at the moment then i will add bass then guitar. im going for kinda rocky sound to it. bur really it depends on how it just "comes together" pun intended. ill mention you and @sawas in it so you both can check it out.

I downloaded a Steel Guitar Simulator yesterday, not making anything beautiful though.

I want to be a musician, would love to play the piano and Steel Guitar, but finance’s, age and future living conditions is dimming the vision.

Agreed on the camera shy/public internet thingy!

My videos will be just my hands on the keyboard, in fact the keyboard’s the star not me.

I have a real challenge not to mix up my personal persona and my commercial one on-line too!

Don’t mind the company name being known, but not my own nor my face in these untrustworthy times. Don’t blame you at all for not wishing to appear in your videos and songs.

Soon as I have something completed I will post in here how to find it
