Sand on the beach or a pan with dry sand or baking soda :rolleyes Sand is good for working the (bare) foot/feet/ankle(s), as well

If you get tired easily or joints/muscles/tendons get sore and you really need to build, stand or sit in water deep enough so you can drum underwater on an anchored, submerged, soft kaypok life vest or (better) giant soft sponge/foam toy. Various angles, flat through perpendicular, as well as left through right :smile The water pretty much has to be up to your neck so it'll cushion everything necessary :smile Keep your arms and hands and sticks under the water . . .

Water exercises work for foot/feet/ankles, too :smile

Important: don't do this in areas with sharks or gators or crocs . . .
This is some interesting advice:loldidt ever hear practiceing drums underwater.......very interesting.

Oh good advice on not doing so if there are sharks or crocodiles hahah

Can a ‘want a be’ chime in, I would love to play the piano by sheet music, not by ear. I began lessons in 90s. Music is so important and useful to the Lord, the Holy Spirit moves in the music.

I used to have a simple keyboard and I would pick out a simple song using one key at a time and amazed myself how I instinctively knew the right key to play.

Playing an instrument especially the piano is such a wonderful ministry gift, I am so envious of you guy’s. :shake
Yes sir you can join!!! Anyones who plays anything or sings is welcome or whomever writes music or just likes music in general. So tell us do you play any other instruments as well or just piano?

I also believe music is a big part of spreading the word ☺️

Glad to have you here welcome to the musical family:welcome:shake

I have this thought that when we are with Jesus in Heaven those of us who have a desire to play certain instruments will be able to. I’ve always wanted to learn the violin. Because the Holy Spirit is the master teacher and shares a body with us... I have this hope he will just take over and we (The Spirit and I) can play the violin together. That would be awesome.
That would be so awesome!!!!!! I wonder if jesus himself plays or sings?

My main instrument is piano. Also keyboard (some, but don't really know how to do all the digital things).

I played flute from 7th-12th grades and then a little in church orchestra after that, but haven't played flute in a long time. I need to have the key pads replaced and start working on it again. I remember most of the fingering.

I've played in handbell choirs too; that's fun.

I love to sing (alto!) but am not a soloist. I've taught children's choir for years, but not since the pandemic.

Oh, I played the organ for a couple of years at a church we attended in the 90s... I didn't know anything about it, but nobody else at the church played it either, so it was better than nothing. :biggrin

How great that you're learning to sing! Are you taking voice lessons, or how are you learning? I grew up singing in school and church choirs, so just assumed everybody else did too.

My sister played the clarinet too, years ago!

I wish I'd learned guitar way back when. A girlfriend tried showing me some chords when we were in about 7th grade. My fingers could barely stretch to reach them, so that was the end of that. But guitar would come in so handy when singing with children. That's mostly when I've had to play keyboard... when teaching kids choir.

Im teaching my self and my mom is helping to Because she used to sing many years ago so she is helping. I mostly learn form taking a song that I am learning and find the isolated vocals and listen really closely to how that person is singing and I sing the parts over and over until I get it right. Or I just listen to the song over and over until I get it down pat. I have a hard time singing without the vocals in the song being there but I'm learning slowly but Shirley:biggrin2

This is kinda me at the moment the one in the pigtails hahah:choir

I love to play guitar mostly electric. So many fun things you can do and all the effects!!!! I mean have you played with a wah peddle or a whammy bar hrs of fun and entertainment.....but then again I'm one thats easily entertained with anything music:lol I think it's awesome you teach children to sing☺️

Great that your mom is teaching you to sing (my mom started me off playing the piano too... many years ago)! And it sounds like the method you're using is the best way to do it. The more you practice.... well, you know!

Love the picture!! :lol

I'm going to have to ask my son about that wah peddle and whammy bar!
