There was no immediate indication the McCloskeys were arrested or charged with a crime

Authorities in St. Louis executed a search warrant Friday evening at the home of Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the couple who made headlines last month when they took up arms to defend their homes from protesters.

During the search, police seized the rifle that Mark McCloskey was shown holding during the June 28 incident, KSDK-TV of St. Louis reported, citing information from a source.

The pistol that Patricia McCloskey held during the June confrontation was already in the possession of the couple’s attorney, the station reported.

There was no immediate indication that the McCloskeys were arrested or charged with a crime.

On Monday, the McCloskeys appeared on Fox News’ “Hannity” and disclosed that protesters returned to their neighborhood last Friday – but they were alerted in advance and hired a private security company to protect their residence.

The previous night, “we started hiding valuables and securing the house,” Mark McCloskey told host Sean Hannity.

Last week’s protest was loud but non-violent, the homeowner said.

In the June incident, Patricia McCloskey said, the couple was startled just before dinnertime when “300 to 500 people” entered the gated community where they live.

"[They said] that they were going to kill us," Patricia McCloskey told Hannity on Monday night. "They were going to come in there. They were going to burn down the house. They were going to be living in our house after I was dead, and they were pointing to different rooms and said, 'That’s going to be my bedroom and that’s going to be the living room and I’m going to be taking a shower in that room’.”"

The couple said protesters also threatened to harm their dog, which was outside the home at the time.

The protesters claimed they were passing the McCloskeys' home while heading toward the home of Mayor Lyda Krewson, to demonstrate there.

Soon after the June incident, Kimberly Gardner, circuit attorney in St. Louis, announced that her office and the St. Louis Police Department would be conducting an investigation into the McCloskeys’ use of firearms.

The couple’s attorney, Albert Watkins, said in a statement that the couple did not arm themselves until after they began feeling threatened.

"My clients didn't sit on their front stoop with guns. ... No firearms were on them at the time that they, were, as property owners standing in front of their home," he said. "It was not until they basically were in a position of seeing and observing violence, recklessness, lawbreaking, and knowing that the police were not going to be doing anything."

Go ahead, elected Social Justice Warriors. Keep calling good evil and evil good. The video of the mob coursing through a security gate and threatening the homeowners should be sufficient to allow their attorney to take action to have their means of defending themselves restored.
They won't wait for the apology you owe them. But we will all wait for the verdict America will render at the ballot box November 3. There are so many Christians praying not only for a victory but a MANDATE.
I'm curious - which version of Scripture do you use to justify riotous and threatening behavior? I ask because the Scripture explains that we fight not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers in (heavenly) places. Our armor is of God, not man.

So now the police are doing selective looting? As they had no grounds for taking the rifle.
Depends on what was in the affidavit and search warrant. However, if there are false statements on the affidavit, it's on the officer that swore to it. If it's legally insufficient, it's on the prosecuting attorney and judge. If the officers that seized the rifle exceeded/were outside of the scope of the search warrant, then it's on them. Until these documents are released, we won't know.

Really, really bad that the guns are out of the house and this has been publicized :mad

The standoff between a gun-toting couple who stood in their front yard and protesters who marched through the private neighborhood is under investigation, according to St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kimberly Gardner's office.

Gardner, who was elected in 2016 on a platform of reforming the criminal justice system, was reportedly backed by liberal billionaire George Soros.

Since being elected, Gardner has butted heads publicly with Missouri’s Republican attorney general and faced lawsuits for allegedly ignoring public records requests.

Hmmmm. I live in St. Louis County....not too far from where this happened. Very interesting that no local radio or news station is carrying this report on their news this morning. I had to learn it from this site!! Why the hush-hush? Many of our residents are totally fed up with Kim Gardner, but she continues with her games. Praying her out of office for sure!!

Now we're not allowed to defend ourselves. Also those trespassers made terroristic threats which they're supposed to be arrested for.
If law enforcement officers can’t defend themselves then they won’t let citizens either. Police reform policies make it where if a criminal in custody gets violently combative with an officer, he can’t protect himself physically or he can be charged with police brutality and misconduct, and by taking away the liability protection the officers can be sued. And, they also are looking to disarm officers. This is why I’m saying if they are doing this to law enforcement they will do it to anybody. It is getting out of control and dangerous

That's so true.. I have also said if they'll do what they've been doing to the president, they'll do it anybody. No one is safe because they've been doing an unlawful search on him for almost 4 yrs. That's why Hannity was wondering if they've been listening in on his conversations as well. On his radio broadcast he asked an ex-FBI guy if it was possible for him to find out if they did.

It's very important to know the gun laws in your state. It's also advisable to further protect yourself with U.S. LawShield (no affiliation) or similar. Even if you obey the law to the T, it's still going to be an ordeal so it's best to know what to do , say, DON'T say, and who to call if need be.
