Man who attacked Pelosi’s husband spread conspiracy theories about Jews
San Francisco police arrested David DePape after Paul Pelosi struggled with a home invader who was attacking him.

(JTA) — The man arrested for beating US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband with a hammer after breaking into their San Francisco home in search of her had spread the theory online that Jews are to blame for the war in Ukraine.

San Francisco police arrested David DePape on Friday after Paul Pelosi struggled with a home invader who was attacking him. DePape was allegedly yelling, “Where is Nancy?” Nancy Pelosi was in Washington, DC, at the time of the attack. Paul Pelosi, 82, was hospitalized but is expected to recover.

A picture of DePape that emerged after police named him as the alleged attacker suggests that he was actively engaged online with a slew of conspiracy theories, including ones about Pelosi, who has been a target of supporters of former president Donald Trump, and about Jews.

This Paul Pelosi story needs to marinate for a few days/weeks to see what shakes out.
The details of what has already been reported by the SF police are slim and sketchy.

I have already been hearing things, which still need to be confirmed so I won't report them, that suggest this wasn't a routine breaking and entering.

Although the corporate media was quick to jump in and claim that the attacker, Depape, is a Trump loving conservative, reality looks a lot different. The latest information reveals that he is a lunatic illegal immigrant from Canada who was part of a nudist group, and very much into a drug drenched lifestyle. Pictures of an RV bus that he lived in shows pro LGBQ signage and other new age and left-wing sentiments on signs and bumper stickers. Sorry, but he doesn't sound much like a conservative patriot to me. And the information coming from the police is sketchy and confusing at best. A police spokesperson said they received a phone call to perform an elder welfare check on Pelosi. That's strange to me. If Pelosi were being brutally attacked, wouldn't it be more appropriate to put in a call for an emergency response from the police? Later, I saw a different version saying Pelosi and asked to go to the bathroom and called the police from there. When the police arrived, they went to the front door where a '3rd party' let them into the house. Who was this 3rd party? Why didn't the 3rd party call the police? Was the 3rd party attacked as well? When the police entered, they said they saw Pelosi and Depape (who was only wearing underwear), struggling to get control of a hammer, and that Depape won the struggle and hit Pelosi in the skull. Pelosi was admitted to the hospital and had surgery performed on his skull, but supposedly Depape was also injured and admitted to a hospital. How was Depape injured? Was he miraculously overcome by an 82 year old man? And how does a half naked, drug addled lunatic get past the security systems in a a multi million dollar mansion to begin with? Finally, there were reports that there was glass that had been busted from the inside of the house at a window or glass door. What was that about? None of this makes sense, and I suspect there will be a delay in releasing more information until someone can come up with an acceptable narrative, preferably one that makes conservatives look bad. Something tells me we will never see any security video of these events either. For now I guess we can all just sit back and watch the gaslighting begin.

I know we will probably never know the truth and answers to all of biblegirl's questions because the liberal news media will be busier than cats in a litter box covering the facts up. The article I read on MSN pretty much laid it at "far right Trump supporters" feet, so it's already started. We never heard the truth about Paul Pelosi's "accident" and DUI, so all the spin will be giving sympathy to poor old Nancy.....she needs the votes.

This is what I heard as well Biden and the Dems have a hand in illegal immigrants coming in over here. Whatever the true story is there will most likely be a coverup to hide what they don't want to be known.

I agree with all of the above, and would add that when something doesn't seem to make sense it actually does make sense; there is just some information missing (or false information given). Based on what I do know about the ideology of Nancy (and presumably her husband) I have my opinions on what this was all about, but it's probably just as well that I keep them to myself for now.

I have the same questions.
Red flags all over this.
Alot of attention on the Pelosis lately.
Something is definitely amiss about all this in regards to this particular story.

David DePape, the man accused of attacking Paul Pelosi with a hammer, lived inside a school bus parked outside of his former lover’s home in the weeks leading up to the attack, according to his neighbors.

DePape’s neighbors said he slept back and forth between a broken-down camper van and a school bus parked outside pro-nudist activist Gypsy Taub’s home in Berkeley. According to DePape’s neighbors, Margarita and Julio Gonzalez, he used to live inside the house with Taub and her family before staying off and on in the buses parked outside.

In the driveway, there is a broken-down camper van. On the street is a yellow school bus, which neighbors said DePape occasionally stayed in. Both are filled with garbage typical of such structures in homeless encampments.

DePape, who shares two children with Taub, was in a romantic relationship with the pro-nudist activist before she married someone else. DePape served as best man at Taub’s nude wedding, which ultimately led to Taub’s arrest for being naked in public.

After reading further articles about this it's seeming more and more to me that it was an attempt to influence the elections by showing everyone how deranged the right is. Too many oddities in the stories for it to be real, or so I'm thinking. I'm thinking the whole thing was another jessie smullet type thing. I wonder if the crazy guy wasn't supposed to hit pelosi in the head with the hammer, at least not so hard. That the attack waited for the police to arrive and another person let the police in when they arrived... the whole thing is quite fishy.

I'm so sick and tired of all the media (left and purportedly, right leaning) only ever holding up walking caricatures of the most insane and insufferable examples of the leftist and the "right wing" and telling the gullible public that these sad, damaged people are somehow representative of ALL the voters on the opposite end of the political spectrum.

It's classic divide and conquer and it's so transparent that we shouldn't be falling for it anymore.

And yes, based on all the evidence and scuttlebutt I've seen on it, there is no way this "intruder" (or, after hours "special friend" of Paul more likely) is in the "mega-MAGA" camp.

Maybe while Paul was in the bathroom the guy stripped down to his underwear? What was Paul wearing at the time? And why was a hammer the weapon? Did the perp bring his own hammer or did they have a hammer just laying around the house? Or did Paul get it from a junk drawer? And if you're going to get or bring a weapon, why a hammer? Wasn't there anything bigger available?

The police got a call that there was a problem at the Speakers house. I assume that was the call that Paul made. The police spokesperson didn’t say they were responding to an active break-in, they called it an "a prioriti well being check". Really?! At the SPEAKERS HOUSE?! What did Paul tell them was going on?

I would imagine the LEO’s responding to this “wellness check” were likely far more afraid of any potential legal and/or career fall out they might have faced than by the underpants clad “break in suspect”….they and the lapdog media have already changed aspects of the story multiple times.

Nothing will convince me of anything other than this person being ”involved” with Paul. I would imagine that security in the areas these types of people live would mean that you would not even be able to get into the neighborhood, let alone the Speakers house without being immediately spotted on CC camera and/or confronted by very amped up rent-a cops.
