Ronnie, I’m very concerned about you now. Let us know how you’re doing. Lifting you up to the Lord!!
@seated with Christ I’m very concerned too, Ronnie.

Please charge your computer and cellphone so you can keep in touch, with us and others, so you can get help if you need it.

Also, clean your bathtub and fill it with water so you and Missy will at least have clean water to drink.

:hug :pray:pray

Anyone know of where to see live beach / coast cams down there?

I'm having trouble finding one. Used to be that when you'd search for something like that on YT, you'd get /mostly/ regular people's uploads. Now, you can't get past 'real' news channels to find anything.
There are some going on Youtube and Facebook right now. Severe Studios has a storm surge camera going from Grand Isle.

My biggest concern is power loss, can't tell you how much I hate that.

Baton Rouge's water is from an artesian well, from aquifer's under ground, our water have won awards going back to the 1800's. I have stored water already in 2 liter (spl?) drink bottles.

It was just announced, Ida has made landfall.

How do y'all know my name! :tapping :)

Come quickly, Lord Jesus.
We have also done the mattress in the hallway here in Florida. Amen & Take care Ronnie.
You got it, I'll take care.

I just got home from driving around a long time, Walmart was closed, a lot of gas station and all grocery stores were also closed. I did find a convenience store where I filled up and and bought a case of 12once cans of Barq's Rootbeer.

It's not so bad now.

Watching Governor John Bel Edwards as he updates now.

We haven't had a "real winter" in over ten years. We used to get down to -40 degrees C. at night in January

I hear from my American friends that Ohio, Pennsylvania and Indiana have much milder winters than Minnesota and cooler summers than the southeast. Their real estate prices are MUCH more reasonable than the horribly-pricey, northeast too.

-40C and -40F are virtually the same. This is our high temp without the wind chill or "feels like" some days during a "real winter" On those days, nights weren't that much colder (-45F to close to -50F) because no clouds, so the earth's heat already dissipated. -35F more common, and chance of precipitation
-63F without the wind chill coldest I've been in. -125 or so with the (old scale) wind chill

Add another layer and waddle to school :lol (no buses, and school starts on time, except in rural areas, where there might be a 2 hour delay if shoveling or plowing needed to open the roads or access the doors if it snowed a bunch (feet) or drifting due to high winds (blizzard)

@Tall Timbers probably :lolsign and moon bathes in this kind of weather :biggrin

Real estate prices here are getting to be like those in NY and Cali :furious :rant :mad :wild Rent is also getting more ridiculous, with more restrictions and "screening"

Afghans already being settled here, so more pressure on already-scarce housing and prices :frust :cry
