Major Hurricane to hit Gulf Coast

seated with Christ

Come quickly, Lord Jesus.
I have been looking at images on the web to determine how close Ida's eye came to me, the best I can determine is that it hugged the eastern border of my Parish (County), I'm on the Western border, on the Mississippi River. :)

I have have experienced an eye of the storm before.

TT, I am perfectly fine as far as the storm is concerned. :)

Thanks, everyone, for the petitions to God for anath, myself and all that were in Ida's path. :) :) :)

I'm so glad you are safe and back posting. Is the power back up now? Our TV news was saying it would take 3 weeks or more for full power to be restored in the hard hit areas. I'm still praying that Susan and Mike ( @anath and her husband) have power restored as I can't imagine what life down there would be like without power.

Appreciate knowing that. I've been thinking of them stuck in the heat and humidity down there with their health issues. Praying for help for those affected in that area, and that includes you Ronnie, so glad your situation is better. :hug
Baton Rouge and vicinity has two large electric companies, "Entergy and Demco" and also we had linemen who came here from outside the vicinity to assist us. Even so, four days without A/C in Louisiana in Summer is torturous.

Good Samaritans Rescue 60 Cows From Hurricane Ida Floodwaters

"It might be “herd” to believe, but some Louisiana cowboys recently undertook a very different kind of cattle drive after Hurricane Ida left grazing lands flooded—and they’ve been using airboats to do get the job done."

I was in the direct line (eye passed over), but, we weren't even supposed to get more than 25-45 mph winds....lol, just got power back day before yesterday, and internet back yesterday afternoon....(in time to pay bills, LOL).....Thank the Lord it was only CAT I when it went over. The damage to our city, to me, was like IKE. But, God was SO wonderful, in that it was not 100 degrees after the storm....it was not even as humid as after most storms, so, I was able to get my yard cleaned up without heatstroke or mosquitoes. However, I'm praying for those who are still without power and massive clean ups, even from IDA.

Glad to hear you are ok!

Oh, I just realized, this thread is all about IDA....I've just been through Nicholas, and am still a little bleary, I guess......sorry for the highjack of the thread
