Lebanon was hit by a nationwide blackout on Saturday night after protesters stormed a substation near the town of Aramoun, the Électricité du Liban (EDL) company announced. The company stated that protesters stormed the station "not caring about endangering their personal safety and the safety of the station’s workers" and tampered with equipment at the site, affecting the stability of the electrical network and sparking a general blackout throughout the country. EDL warned citizens against entering substations and power plants to protect their personal safety.

Ghoti Ichthus

Pray so they do not serve alone. Ephesians 6:10-20
Once upon a time, even when at war/terrorism, people left the water and food alone, and electrical outages were usually unintentional consequences of explosions from military ordnance and bombs. This, because everyone suffered when infrastructure and food were damaged/destroyed, and all factions wanted/needed the support, cooperation, or noninterference of as many of people there as possible. Most people just wanted to be left out of it, so long as they and their families were reasonably safe and had food, water, and (usually) power.

Now, like everything else, people won't or can't think things through :furious :rant :mad :wild :cry

If it wasn't clear, I was posting about what used to happen in Lebanon, especially Beirut [sigh]

That was something that distinguished the war/terrorism there from everywhere else in the 20th Century.
