Jordan to host emergency summit following security escalation
The summit was initiated by the United States, Jordan and Egypt, and will include PA and possibly Israeli representatives as well.

An emergency summit will be held in Jordan on Sunday, ahead of the Ramadan holiday and in an attempt to stop the escalation between Israel and the Palestinian Arabs, Kan 11 News reported on Friday. According to the report, the summit was initiated by the United States, Jordan and Egypt - and will include Palestinian Arab and possibly Israeli representatives as well.
The sides are expected to attempt to soften the stance of the Palestinian Authority and present it with a practical outline in order to convince them that there is an opportunity for change. However, according to Kan 11 News, Israel would have to make gestures to the PA as part of such an outline, and it is unclear if the Israeli government would be willing to do so.
