Israel caves, detained terrorist to end hunger strike
Following threats from Gaza, Israel agrees not to extend detention of Hisham Abu Hawash. He, in turn, will end his 141-day hunger strike.

An agreement was reached on Tuesday between the administrative detainee Hisham Abu Hawash and the military prosecutor's office, according to which he would stop his hunger strike, which has been going on for 141 days, in exchange for his detention not being renewed.

Following threats of escalation from Gaza should Abu Hawash die as a result of the hunger strike, Israel agreed that the detention order would not be extended beyond February 26. Many factors intervened in the contacts, including the office of Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas. Official PA television reported that under the direction of Abbas and the close monitoring of the PA intelligence chief, the issue of prisoner Hisham Abu Hawash had come to a conclusion.

This is just dumb. Israel is always caving into their enemies. And their rewarding of their enemies just ensures that they continue their terror campaigns against Israel. :doh

Netanyahu must be furious! This new leadership team keeps caving-- from the electricity situation in the Negev which as Bibi points out, gives the Bedouin illegal housing and occupants even more "rights" to stay and evict the actual owners--Israel.

Now this. Reward bad behaviour and you'll get more of it.
