Guess the next birth pang is well under way. Had a good stretch of 2-4 earthquakes a day, but now we're back up to 8-12. Wish I had more time to compile the daily data to get an idea of the length and intensity of the pangs.

Yes, the Ring of fire is extremely active producing most quakes and volcanoes in the Pacific basin.

Please explain in layman's terms what would happen if the ring of fire should ever simultaneously explode (for lack of a better way to put it).

Anything is possible, not sure that would happen though unless occurring during the Trib period, just my opinion. There are over 19000 ocean floor volcanoes, I would guess many are located in/near the Ring of Fire.
