Is the Hamas conflict a prophetic window into the end times?
Psalm 83 talks about how Israel’s “enemies growl” and its “foes rear their heads,” with their leaders calling to “destroy them as a nation so that Israel’s name is remembered no more.”

As the conflict between Israel and Hamas persists, is it indicative of an impending apocalyptic scenario?

“We don’t want to jump to any sensational conclusions – sometimes things are just really bad, and they don’t have a specific biblical implication,” said Joel Rosenberg, editor-in-chief of the Evangelical Christian news website ALL ISRAEL NEWS. “However, there are some interesting questions that should be discussed.”

Battle of Armageddon

Before jumping into Ezekiel 38 and 39 and suspicions of the Battle of Armageddon, Rosenberg said to look to Psalm 83, which some Bible teachers believe is a prophecy not about a specific “End Times War” but a “prophetic window into the motivation of the actors that will attack Israel and try to wipe us out at the end of times.”

Psalm 83 talks about how Israel’s “enemies growl” and its “foes rear their heads,” with their leaders calling to “destroy them as a nation so that Israel’s name is remembered no more.”

Rosenberg said the verses in the psalm are similar to the sentiments expressed by Hamas and those countries who back it – meaning the Iranian leadership and others.

I'm glad to see this being discussed at the Jerusalem Post. We need to continue to watch what is happening in Israel. We are in the end times, there is no doubt about that. When things will play out, we are not 100% sure, so we need to be sober and watching at all times! :thumbup

Choose Your Words Carefully...
News such as this kinda indicates who is watching and who is not.

It does foster some careful discussion allowing believers to point out Scripture and offer the same warning: No one know the day or hour, only God The Father.

It does beg us to consider: with all that the Lord has shared, with the excellent commentary from learned believers, as well as the results of false prophets that have missed so badly,

When God says no one will know, it is established.
But we will be able to discern the times if you are looking and walking with the Spirit.

Yet even more, we still do not know where our very own life is headed in the next moments.

Now is the time to chose Christ.
Now is the day of salvation.
Now is the time to get off the fence.

Your very next breath could be your last as easily the trumpet sound from heaven could be today.

There really is no second chance as far as the lost are concerned. The death rate, the fear that compels unbelief, the terror of the Tribulation will leave so few alive, even the dead who are spared that time are called blessed.

Now is an unbeliever's opportunity:

Understand you are a sinner
Understand you are so bankrupt there is no way to pay your debt of sin and the wages of sin is death.
Understand God so loved mankind, that He made a way- He paid your debt, He purchased you with His Son's own blood,

He exchanged Christ's Righteousness for your poverty and bankrupt spiritual state and will call you His own child,

All if you will believe and trust Him to deliver you.

Yet belief and trust come from knowing Him. You know Him a little just by reading the information on this site.
Get a Bible and get to know Him deeper.

And He offers Help to understanding His Word. It's but a prayer away.

All of this free by His Grace, Mercy, and Love.

Amen brother!

My favorite verses: Ephesians 1: 3-14

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment —to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.

In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.

I believe that the Hamas conflict is a sign of the end times

and I do not believe that it is necessarily simply because this particular situation is known or recognizable or even something we can perceive as significant in being different from all of the thousands of years in which Hebrews in Israel have been surrounded by their enemies who attack them.

This situation has been happening since the time of Joshua who resettled in Israel, since this time long ago the nations have surrounded Israel in attempt to destroy and exterminate the Hebrew people from the land.

Would anyone agree that because this situation is still ongoing, that this is connection to the Biblical prophecy in - Zechariah Chapter 14

Zechariah Chapter 14 tells of the future prophecy when the Lord says

” will gather all the nations to Jerusalem to fight against it; the city “

For me, this shows that the prophecy is real and truth and that the situation is still a possibility for future prophecy event that is foretold. I believe that all of prophecy in the Bible is shill in effect and nothing has been ruled out as potential.

This is so true. Read a story about a woman whose husband was taken in the Rapture and she was not. And she really had no chance to look into what happened or change her own destiny as she fell down the stairs and without any way to get help, eventually died and entered Hell. We think folks will have time to find Jesus after we're gone, but they all may not actually have time at all.

TODAY is the day of Salvation. We are not guaranteed tomorrow by any stretch of the imagination.
