Is suing someone wrong?

The fact he did not just make a mistake but was aware he had made it and then attempted to cover it up so as to not have to face the consequences causes me to lean toward the lawsuit. Certainly I do not see any Scripture against it-- not just the letter but the spirit. But God will direct you as you lean on Him as to what to do.

:agree The fact he attempted to cover it up in some way means he was definitely aware of the mistake. If it will give you some peace of mind to know that there won’t be financial struggles for your wife and daughter(s), then I don’t see that it would be going against what the Bible teaches, IMHO. :pray

My father was crippled and died way too soon due to a surgeon's error. He did not want to sue either. Being a Christian does not mean one has to just sit back and take wrongdoing. I go to The Lord Jesus turning over the money changer's tables. There's a point where turning the other cheek doesn't apply.
