I would like to read Regions of captivity by Anna Mendez Ferrell. If anyone has a PDF version of it, I will give you my email so you can share with me. Thanks
I am an author and what you are asking for is theft. Unless the book is no longer under copyright, or is free with written permission to share it, it is illegal to do so. I’m speaking up because I have lost thousands of dollars due to sharing. It isn’t a harmless crime. Please respect copyrights.I would like to read Regions of captivity by Anna Mendez Ferrell. Thank you all for your opinions. God bless you.

That aside, it sounds like a book you should run from.
Technically, there is no difference. There is no way to clamp down on sharing but it wasn’t as common or easy as it is now. Digital is now a lot easier to track and theft is fined. Sharing is theft either way. I am not a copywrite lawyer, just an author who was ripped off by a store that gave my work away using digital copies. He bought one copy and sent it out to thousands of customers. That’s illegal.I might be naive, but how is it any different from letting a friend borrow your copy of the physical book? The author doesn't see money either way, so why is one okay and one not?

@Milly_Light, what I’ve said isn’t an opinion, it’s the law. It’s theft whether you like it or not.

Apparently, my answers don’t satisfy you. Please look it up. Again, it’s not what I think, it’s the law.So you think it's theft if I let my friend borrow a physical book even?
I already did right after he paid his fine. Thanks for your opinion though.I personally feel you should forgive those who wronged you. I can't do anything about it. Thanks again for your opinion.
I personally have conducted authors who were kind enough to share a book with me because I could not afford to buy. I share this as a testimony.
And I have considered @
Anewcreationinjesus advice. Thanks. I personally I'm growing in my walk with Christ and even though I have the gift of discernment of Spirits, I'm still learning on discerning different doctrines. I won't mind having someone who is matured spiritually to mentor me.
An author giving their own book away is completely different. It’s their property. I’ve done it myself many times. We are given extra copies just so we can. It’s a good way to establish a solid fan base.I personally have conducted authors who were kind enough to share a book with me because I could not afford to buy. I share this as a testimony.

Just hope the info Ive shared will encourage you to look into the "New Apostolic Reformation" for yourself ....have a dive into stuff on "apostasy in the church" as folks on there like Billiefan have been warning about this years and years!!

I won't do that now. I would prefer to just spent time reading the Bible and books from authors like Kenneth E Hagin and others because I want to have more knowledge.
(This is just general word) I feel we shouldn't run to label anyone as false prophet quickly. (I'm not defending anyone)
(Let me share how I personally know if a message or teaching is true or false) When someone preaches, I would suddenly feel fire in my heart and that is how I know God is speaking to me through someone.
And I also had a bad experience when I first got saved because I was in a church where the "servant of God" would preach and it left me feeling condemned and guilty. And that experience has helped me know the difference between something that is from God and which is not.
My original reason for borrowing the book is because I want to learn more about deliverance. And also because I want my parents and siblings to be saved and be filled with all the fullness of God according to Ephesians.
Libraries are under different categories. The publisher has agreed to have it borrowed. It’s not theft to lend A (that’s one) book you own to a friend. It is theft to print COPIES (could be dozens, hundreds, thousands) of that book and send out to others.
For example, a library can buy a book and make it available to be checked out. One at a time. They cannot, however, make copies of that book for anyone to read. You have to wait to read it.
BTW, I’m not an author nor a copyright attorney.
