IDF officer injured in West Bank raid carried bullet resistant grenade
The Duvdevan officer was struck by nine bullets, and at least one of them struck the grenade, which did not explode.

The IDF Duvdevan officer who was injured during a deadly anti-Hamas raid in the West Bank last week was carrying a bullet-resistant grenade when he was struck by nine bullets. The grenade, made by Israel Military Industries (IMI), was struck by at least one of the bullets but did not explode. The father of the officer was quoted by Walla as saying that it was “a miracle” and that he was optimistic as the condition of the officer continued to improve over the past three days. The M26 IM-HE hand grenades developed and patented by IMI are an upgraded version of the M26 fragmentation grenade that was designed with enhanced safety features including a unique fuse and safety clip. The grenade, which has peripheral protection on the fuse housing and needs two-movement factors to remove the safety pin, only ignites once the safety pin is removed.

Soldier hurt in shootout with Hamas terrorists released from ICU
Officer shot 9 times in battle with terrorists over the weekend regains consciousness.

Following the improvement in the condition of the soldier from the Duvdevan unit who was wounded in a shootout with Hamas terrorists near Jenin, he was discharged from the intensive care unit at Rambam Medical Center for further treatment in the thoracic surgery department.

The soldier has been released from the intensive care unit, his condition is stable, he is alert and communicating with others. As soon as he left the intensive care unit, his friends and colleagues in the ward stood in two columns and saluted him.

The officer who was wounded in the same shootout remains in serious but stable condition and he remains on assisted breathing. This morning the officer regained consciousness and communicated with the medical staff and his family.
