He's a victim of ritual abuse. His handlers are the ones who broke him, and intentionally so. I imagine he's being used, and that he's behaving exactly as they want him to. That's the only reasonable explanation I can come up with. His handlers are allowing him to break ranks and expose some things so long as he also delegitimizes himself by praising Hitler, thus burying his abuse and the sacrifice of his mother that was used to break him. By throwing him in with Christians and the right wing, if he looks like damaged goods, then Christians and the right will be tarred with the same negative connotation.
