I got this pop-up on my computer saying HP Display Control needed a critical update, and then it said to open the file after doanload and follow the instructions in it. But I haven't done that just yet - anyone know about this?

It didn't take me directly to the site - or it might have for a spolit second when downloading. But, I looked it up and saw that it's a program that's not even really needed? But yeah, I don't know why HP did that... why so much bloatware..?

The Program folder was situated at – C:\Program Files\Portrait Displays\HP Display Control Service - Portrait Displays is a genuine organization that gives shading display arrangements advanced display control. HP Display Control is a product program created by Portrait Displays for HP, which includes a Windows Service (HPDCService) which runs consistently in the background. Its fundamental executable file DisplayControl.exe is stacked at each startup by means of a Registry key.
So it is safe to upgrade
