How Will the World Explain the Rapture?

That's a good point, myself don't know. Just Google it and apparently they can land a plane especially in newer models of plane.
I worked at the Boeing Company years ago in Seattle. The newer airplanes can land on autopilot. So in the Rapture happens and the plane happens to be on autopilot it's just going to fly and fly till it runs out of fuel and crash somewhere.

Brother Dave, I do apologize that I was rude, nothing against you. In fact years ago I held the same view as you. I had read a book about Nephilim, Pyramids and the Apocalypse, or something like that Wow that is amazing. Then sometime after that on the old Rapture Ready website, I read thru most of a huge thread on this very question (was " the Sons of God" phrase in Genesis 6 talking about angels or men). There were good posts on both sides of the question and reading thru I started getting some doubts about my view, The Angel View even though it was the dominant view on that thread. I am going to credit BuzzardHut (ya'll know him) for changing my mind to the Man view. He would chime in on that thread that made more sense to me, so I changed my view. Like you say there are respected bible teachers that hold the Angel View and I found out there are also respected bible teachers that hold the Man View.
Anyway, thanks for reading and when we go up in the rapture I will look you up and we can talk about it. Deal?
God Bless you brother in Christ.
Kenny:)
No worries man, I appreciate the apology. I also respect your decision. It’s good to get exposure to possible other explanations as it helps dive into the word to try and learn the truth from the texts.

We obviously differ in this area, but it’s a side issue so that’s okay. We both believe in Christ, so looking forward to seeing you in the clouds!

Don't understand your contradiction, ie can land but going to fly and fly.

This was quite comical but could have been serious several months ago when I happened to be outside in my yard. My son came home and noticed my bedroom door closed and he started to knock on the door calling my name. He didn't hear a response and he didn't see me around the house and he thought to himself my gosh the rapture happened and mom's gone. And for a short moment he thought he was left behind. Then I walked through the back door and he was relieved. A cute story but could be true for other family members. But my son's a Christian and just for a moment when he thought that he was left behind. I think he needs to get a little stronger in his faith.
Pretty much every depiction of the Rapture that there is, how many people will be left behind who thought they were Christians only to find out too late they weren't.

People find their faith shook because of this. These characters who were generally secure in their idea of Christianity only to be rattled and caught off guard. Inevitably people who have no reason to worry are going to worry. The message they get is this could happen to them.

JMO, but Left Behind theology needs to be reformed. The Rapture needs to be a message of hope again, not a cause of anxiety among believers.

I laugh because my husband did the same thing. I was out shopping with my sister, her son and my son. Husband comes home and sees we are not home and starts calling me, my sister, my son and no one answered. He freaked out because he thought, for a moment, the rapture happened and was left behind. LOLOL! Gotta check ya self!

Did I dream this, or did I read a while ago some airline was going to make sure for every Christian pilot there would be a non-Christian pilot on the same flight?

Since this is all "speculation", I'm taking a bit of a twist. I have thought this event might come in a more cataclysmic "happening"; so that our disappearance will hardly be noticed, and if reported on, being a "back page clipping". My reasoning? I believe it will happen simultaneously with "the Big One" (Earthquake) as happened the last time "people came out of their graves", as reported in:

Matthew 27:50-53 "Then Jesus shouted out again, and he released his spirit. At that moment the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. The earth shook, rocks split apart, and tombs opened. The bodies of many godly men and women who had died were raised from the dead. They left the cemetery after Jesus’ resurrection, went into the holy city of Jerusalem, and appeared to many people."

It could also be the day the "Gog and Magog" war will take place (meant to be a "surprise attack but will be ended quickly by God)

There may be the appearance of many "UAV's" buzzing around (who knows or cares).

Anyway, there will be a lot of "chaos" and "dead bodies" laying around - for much of a fuss to be made about those "missing"!

Of course, we won't know or experience any of this, because we'll already have "launched" for our Heavenly Home!!

Anything is possible, but the instantaneous disappearance of hundreds of millions around the world would be hard to blame on a natural disaster, or even a world War. Some countries of course will have millions disappear while others very few. However, if as many believe, all children below the age of accountability will also be raptured, then the rapture effects every city, every country, every religion…

I think many will just slide further into apostasy and will deny the very obvious disappearance of the saints. If they could deny one of the basic truths that there are only two genders, then they could just as easily deceive themselves that the rapture isn't real even though the facts are staring them in the face.

Agree.

I do believe only a small minority of people, and mainly those in the western world truly believe there are more than 2 genders. Unfortunately, the media gives them a big voice.

Especially the unborn??? Just.... gone.
I imagine there will be pregnant women in the middle of having ultrasound done, then a gasp from the technician as the screen suddenly shows an empty womb. Probably those in the middle of labor also. Then those where the mother is also saved and suddenly patient and baby are just gone. And vice versa, the Dr gone, nurses looking under bed, in restroom, etc.

Given the surveillance cameras everywhere there is also bound to be a lot of clips of people there in one frame and just gone in the next.
