How the Liberal Press Lies

The following might seem self-evident, but it should be pointed out anyway. This comes from a lot of reading I did years ago on psychological warfare and big lie campaigns in order to know the enemy, and from observation. The liberal cult is the most destructive enemy America has ever faced, and the liberal press is the most powerful weapon it has, using the big lie like a sword to destroy this nation. This cult is a very good liar, because the master it serves is the father of lies. Knowing the methodology of these liars is useful in educating the low-information types who would otherwise be drawn by the liars into the liberal herds.

A lot of people do not think the liberal press is a big lie machine because they don’t understand how the liberal press lies. One of their main methods of deception is the half-truth, which is a very sneaky and effective type of lie. The National Socialists and others like them were very skilled in this method.

A good liar will mix as much truth as he can in with his lie because the more truth it contains the more believable it is. And a really good liar will avoid saying anything you can put a finger on and say this is a factually untrue statement, but still manipulate what he says, what he focuses on, how he frames a story, and what he ignores, in such a way as to lead people to believe a falsehood.

In this way they can counter those who call them liars by saying what did I say that is factually incorrect? The idea of course being that if no factual misstatement was made no lie was told. This is what’s known as a half-truth: something that is factually true, but used to tell a lie.

The half-truth typically relies on what is called a lie by omission: the liar gives just the information that leads his subjects to think what he wants them to think, and omits anything that will lead them away from thinking it.

This lie can be explained briefly simply by giving what appears to be a doctrine followed by the liberal press: newsworthiness is determined by and proportional to propaganda effect: to the extent it promotes the liberal agenda it is newsworthy; to the extent it detracts from that agenda, it is not.

For example, say I go into a bank and make a withdrawal; I have a carry permit so I have my concealed pistol with me; the line is long and slow and I’m in a big hurry, so I make the withdrawal and then run back to my car. So the liar says I went into the bank with a gun and then came running out with a bunch of money, while omitting the part about why and how I was carrying a gun and that the money I left with was withdrawn legally from my account. By omitting that, the liar is able to manipulate his subjects into thinking I robbed the bank, without making any factually untrue statement.

Here’s another example: say I offer you a cup of tea; I tell you that the tea is zero calorie and low carb, and that drinking the tea will keep you from getting cancer and it will even make you lose weight. These things are all factually correct. But what I omit is that the tea is made from hemlock, and the cup contains several times the lethal dose of poison. So I omit the part about why the tea is guaranteed to keep you from getting cancer: it’s because you die right there on the spot. The lie I told is a big whopping lie and it is used as a weapon to kill you, but the lie contained no factual misstatement.

If you look closely at the propaganda of the liberal press, you will see that this kind of lie is common in their propaganda. And the big lies they spin are as lethal to the American nation as the lie about hemlock tea is to the one that's fooled into drinking it. (Or I guess we could say kool-aide instead of tea.)

The examples I gave here are like displaying a snake in an otherwise empty glass box with a bright light shining on it; they are obvious and easy to see. But in the real world the half-truth is often the proverbial snake in the grass, hidden among a lot of facts and opinions disguised as facts and interwoven with a lot of unrelated information, so the deception is not always so easy to see. The liars of liberal media are skilled in the art of deception, so you have to look pretty close sometimes to see just how they are lying, even though you might know that they are lying.

This is one of the most common ways the smiling liberals on TV lie to you. Knowing their methodology is useful in educating the low-information types, in order to keep them from being drawn into the liberal cattle herds by the liars. This is one of the most important things the patriot can do to defend America from the aggression of the liberal cult, because the big lie is the most powerful weapon that cult of traitors has, and the cult controls the most sophisticated psychological warfare machine the world has ever known, the liberal press, which it uses ruthlessly in its war on America.

I think some of the more obvious lies of this type are the selling of civilian disarmament. Any bad use of a gun is newsworthy, to the point that if the use is bad enough (as in mass murder) it’s reported to the point of being advertised, but good uses of a gun, as in citizens defending themselves with a gun and even stopping mass murder with one, are not reported or are barely reported. Mass murders committed with things other than guns, as in fire or a big truck for example, are barely newsworthy and are quickly buried.

This lie by omission together with how the stories are framed feed the simple message to the simple mind of their masses of viewers that guns in the hands of civilians do little or no good, but they do much evil, because mass murder could not take place if at least certain especially evil guns were not available.

Their treatment of Trump compared to their treatment of Obama is another glaring example, so obvious it needs no explanation.

Their lies about God's Word and His people do not need to be explained here because on this forum they are too well known.

And these are just a few of many examples. The selling of all things liberal by the smiling liars on TV are filthy with such lies.

You know, in the past 3 years since Trump won the Presidency It has been so obvious that the MSM and the Left collude with eachother. One thing that blew me away was back when the mass migration caravans started toward our Southern Border and the border crisis started, the Democrats started saying it was a "manufactured crisis" I noticed something. Only Fox News brought attention to how the media and the democrats were in synch with eachother in what they said about the border crisis. Foxnews showed clips of different media from CNN, MSNBC, different Democrats all saying the same exact words. It was so creepy as if they had all rehearsed lines. All I could think of was that it had to be demonic led because it was too creepy to be a coincidence that the same exact things were being said. No doubt the media is owned by the left. All of them have one thing in common right now and that's to destroy Trump and anyone who supports him or his policies.

You have described the very nature of Satan himself. Half truths, mixing lies with truth, omission of truth, etc. Evil has reared its head shamelessly.

I agree. It looks to me like the master served by the liberal cult is the one who was called the father of lies.

The Bible tells us that God allows his enemy to be the god of this world. It follows that the god of this world would place his most faithful servants into the most powerful positions where they can influence the hearts and minds of men. And what place can be better for that than the media?

I studied mechanisms of deception years ago in order to better fight back against the liars of liberal media. Their big lie campaigns have not always been as apparent as they are now but they have been with us for as long as the liberal cult has been in control of media. And I remember that going back to the early 70s, if not sooner.

One of their favorite tactics is the hate campaign; this could also be called a ridicule campaign because it's based on the Alinsky rule that ridicule is a powerful weapon of political war (that's my wording, not his). I remember hate campaigns as far back as the early 70s, the victim I remember most from that period being Anita Bryant, who had run a successful campaign to keep homosexuals from teaching in public schools in Florida. The campaign was as hateful as it was brutal, and it destroyed her career, as well as effectively excommunicating her and subjecting her to public humiliation. Such a successful hate campaign implanted fear of speaking out against the normalization of homosexuality. As a weapon of political, cultural, and religious war, it was massively successful.

There have been others, like the ones they waged against Dan Quayle and Sarah Palin for example. The most massive and ruthless one of course is the current one against President Trump. But he and his supporters have been fighting back very effectively so it does not appear to be having the effect they had hoped fo; it certainly has energized a lot of cattle, but there are just too many of us now who see the hate campaign as the weapon of political war it is.

I don't know how so many people can be so blind to such obvious big lie and hate campaigns. There seem to be a lot of people just begging to be herded like cattle. I guess when a person turns his back on God that person is easily lied to by His enemy.

I normally do not care to take a hard side in partisan politics, as I find them unjust, corrupt, and migraine inducing. Some are more than others, of course. But the clown car of liberal chicanery is off of the charts. They will outright refute themselves on live television or some op-ed, and they will not even flinch. It's like it doesn't even bother them that they shoot their own worldview in the foot and every toe on it clean off. No deal, Howie.

Oh yes, I clearly remember the Dan Quayle assaults. They portrayed him as a little kid. They drilled it so hard that it pretty much wiped out any common sense image of him. I was infuriated when they did that. And with Sarah Palin, they went subterfuge on her because they saw how appealing she was in the spotlight and it scared them to death because she didn't fear them. So every time she would tweet something or make a statement in the media it would send the press scrambling. I love that part because it means she got under their skin. I used to laugh each time it happened.

My local newspaper does this every day. The stories thảt are published are at least 90% liberal in slant. The newspaper is so small to day I dont brother to read it. They promote the liberal side by not presenting the conservative side.
