How is the weather in your area NOW??

It says it is 86 here today and supposed to be a high of 87. There are hardly any clouds in the sky. It says the "real feel" is 94.

We went to Home Depot yesterday for some stuff and the car said it was 100 outside. I don't think that was accurate, but it is very hot here. I think the dog days of Summer are starting here now where I am. :hot

Yes, here in the Midwest, too. We're going to have temps in the 90's a day or two this week. I've never seen such strange weather in  May before. In the mornings, we've been turning on a small electric heater and have kept flannel sheets on all the beds. Now, this week, we'll need to change over to summer bedding and open the windows as long as it's not too humid.
We have all four seasons here in MO, and sometimes they all occur in the very same week.:tumbleweed:tree:sunning:mowing

Every province in Canada claims that joke so I've long suspected that this is true everywhere in the temperate zone.

The rain is back. It's chilly and dismal.

I know what you mean it is strange it must be the climate ;) change in May. You will probably have to turn on the ac this week. Not looking too cool this week. Hotter than a firecracker.

It was premature of me to declare that Spring was here a week ago or so. It snowed most of yesterday, same today and it looks like it is going to be snowing all week. This will be the first 9 month long witner we've enjoyed in interior Alaska for a good while. I remember a couple of other 9 month winters but they were decades ago.

It's the next ice age.

It's very sunny today but also quite windy. I had all the windows open to let the fresh, spring air flow through but I had to shut the windows in the common areas as it was getting too chilly. There is quite the nip in the wind. The weather is calling for storms in the near forecast. The weather still is lovely though and I love hearing the wind whistle and whine it's way through the house and the remaining open windows. It's like a call to adventure and it's making the kids really drag their feet in homeschool. I find myself getting distracted too.

A thunderstorm glanced by yesterday evening so we only got a bit of thunder and lightning but it was enough to freak the kids out. We're supposed to be getting another Colorado Low and it was so gloomy this morning. I did hear a few distant rumbles but the kids didn't notice. Now the sun is shining like crazy. Gorgeous! I'm scared to check if the huge dump of rain is still on the way.

And the ticks are really bad this year! Constantly pulling them off and the warm weather has only been here a week or two. They're coming in on the cat. She's white so I see the black things running all along her sides.

The southern horizon is going slate grey. Is that the dreaded Colorado Low?? So sick of the wet! My kids saw the weather report so they're already panicking about any storms. We're getting rain for sure (it seems) but the thunderstorm is still a question mark. I'm hoping the storms hold off until after bed time because the kids can sleep through anything...even the thunder that shakes the whole house.

Got bit of a light show last night but the worst passed us by. I find it fun and useful to track storms with the website ligthningmaps .org. It is a world map and shows all the live lightning strikes. It says it can have up to a 60 second delay but I find it's usually bang-on. No idea how it works. It only tracks actual strikes and not that cloud-to-cloud stuff. But with it, I could see the bulk of the lightning and storm was blowing past to the east and into Ontario.

Sorry to spam the thread again but it is so crazy windy today! It's insane! I looked at the one local weather page I follow and they showed an image of the radar and the front/storm looks like a literal land-locked hurricane, spinning around a distinctive eye. I've never seen anything like it! It's just whipping and howling out there.
