Houston, We Have a Problem
By Tim Moore

In 1970, Jim Lovell, Fred Haise, and Jack Swigert were hurling through space at thousands of miles an hour on their way to the moon. Lovell had orbited just before Christmas in 1968, and two other crews had already landed on the moon and returned safely to earth.

But when Swigert conducted a routine stir of the liquid oxygen tanks, an electrical short caused an explosion that crippled the spacecraft and threatened the survival of the crew. Quickly assessing the seriousness of the situation, Lovell uttered words that are as memorable as they were understated: “Houston, we have a problem.”

Thanks to the skill and dedication of a huge team of engineers and mission controllers, Apollo 13 made it home safely — although that crew never got to walk on the moon.

For many years our society has been hurling toward a secularized, pagan future. In spite of isolated events to jar the spiritual consciousness of our nation, America has consistently refused to recognize, “we have a problem.” Instead, like a frog in a pot, we’ve witnessed and lived through changes so gradual that they were almost imperceptible at first. Of late, those changes are accelerating wildly, and a growing number of people are beginning to realize that we are headed toward disaster.

The Signs of Society are even more obvious in many ways than the Signs of Nature. What is harder to pinpoint is the root cause of a given moral and societal change. Obviously, sin is at the heart of all our problems. But individual hearts committing — or tolerating — sin builds into a force that is pushing us all on a disastrous trajectory.

Looking back, it is apparent how far we have fallen in just the past 20-30 years. What lies ahead? God’s Word offers prophetic insight to those with eyes to see. It also lays down a challenge to anyone who would seek to serve as Salt and Light—and aspires to be an overcomer.

Steel yourself and examine where we have been, where we are, and where we are heading. In fact, get down on your knees, prayerfully asking God to strengthen your heart and embolden your witness in a world that is growing darker by the day.

Belle of Grace

Longing for Home
It's sort of unrelated to the article blut I felt sad for the weatherman (Weatherman who reads with for Mississippi) but also commend him when he was about to give his weather forecast for Mississippi when he said that it was terrible and prayed to Jesus live on air as he was in tears for the tornado that destroyed one of their towns
What a beautiful compassionate soul! So thankful that he knows when to pray, and the real One to pray to. He is bold enough to pray in public on live TV. Don't see much of that anywhere. May the Lord bless this dear man and continue to use him for God's glory.

Yep the clip of it is here:

an prays live on TV as tornado hit his Mississippi town

Story by Heather Hunter • Yesterday 6:07 AM

A Mississippi meteorologist became overwhelmed and paused his reporting of the trajectory of a tornado to pray live on air for the people in his small town of Amory.
As WTVA‘s Matt Laubhan watched and shared updates on his radar screen of the disastrous tornado coming toward his area, he received an update that it was headed straight for his small Mississippi town on Friday night.

He prayed, "dear Jesus please help them, amen"
That is wonderful.

There is power in the name of Jesus.
When you pray from your heart and cry out to Jesus , things happen.
We may not know exactly what God does with our individual and collective prayers , but there is absolute majestic power in the name of
Jesus Christ .
Power in the blood of Christ , power in our prayers in the name of Jesus Christ.
The Lord hears His children.
He hears those with a broken heart and a contrite spirit.

Proverbs 34:17-18
The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth,
and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a
broken heart ; and saveth such as be of a
contrite spirit.

26 people as of now have died in that tornado,
but it could of easily been much more.

However, in the town of Amory ( that provoked him to prayer) that apparently looked like the apocalypse happened , according to local residents, no one died.
Not only that, the Amory Humane Society was severely hit , but miracously NONE of the animals were harmed!!

Tell me there is no power in prayer!!

This prayer when viral .
God is being glorified through this.
I absolutely love this fact.

May the Lord bless that man and ALL who prayed to Him .
May the Lord bless and comfort all who suffered loss.
May He always be lifted up and glorified!
In the powerful name of Jesus.
Amen.

Totally agree... great little read.
NASA is a complete joke these days. They are not interested in learning from the solar system... Their only goal is to disprove God. This is why you cannot believe anything that comes from them. They are a government sponsored organization who, almost by man, do not believe in God... rather, have fallen for the dumbest "theory" (if you can even call it that) of evolution. NASA is a joke.. and hasn''t in 20 years and will not make any even moderately important discoveries. They are too busy with equity politics to care about learning anything...
