Gospel Message for Sign

I'm planning to go out with a friend and stand on a the sidewalk of a busy street with signs. I have been trying to come up with some clever phrases to show Jesus' love and it dawned on me that I wasn't asking God on this matter. I prayed and was led to read 1 Corinthians 1:17-24. The Lord knows best and I don't need to rely on myself to be clever enough to win souls. I will write the Gospel message.

My question now is how to fit the Gospel on a large Poster Board for others to see from their cars. Any suggestions?

God bless you brother! God will give you what to say. In nearly 35 years of christian witness, I have found that attacking publically will turn them off. People know they are sinners. So pray about something on the theme of receiving forgiveness. I am not God, John 3:17

Hehehe I'm a sister, but Winston my dog is a boy. :p I was trying to figure out how to fit all that on a Poster Board. I'll just have to write it all out and leave the rest to God. The Sidewalk isn't usually walked, it's more of a main route so it's for cars to see driving by. Hopefully I can make it big enough.

I was thinking of posting John 3:16 but John 3:17 is perfect too.

I would do something totally off the wall. How many times have we all seen the sign with something like the end is near? Flip that to "The beginning is near" and use a rapture verse of your choice. How about Luke 21:28?

I love that! It just stinks that for the words to be seen, I can't write too much. I want cars passing by to read what it says on a Poster Board I'll be holding. That's my struggle and challenge.

How about "Jesus Saves" or "Jesus--The Only way, truth and life " or "Jesus died for YOU"

May God bless you and make most effective your efforts

Ok, that's creepy in a good way. I literally landed on Jesus Saves just an hour ago. After my mid-week service at church, I spoke to my Pastor about this and he said Jesus Saves. I just knew that's what I had to say for the world to see. I LOVE the other two too. I have two signs to rotate, so I'll probably pick Jesus-The only way, truth, and life. Thank you for confirming this for me.

I only mentioned it because it's the simple truth of why he became man, and suffered for all to be saved ;)

How did it go, Cheeky?

I was sad yesterday because I ended up getting sick and couldn't go. I was really frustrated but my friend and I are planning to do that weekly. Lord willing, I will be out with her this coming Friday. I'm thinking of a second sign that says Sin equals death, Jesus equals eternal life, Repent and have faith.

What do you guys think?

This is just an idea, see how God leads you. :) In line with what Mikhen7 was saying, a passage that speaks of an open invitation to those who already know they are imperfect and not right with God can be a great draw. You might preface the passage with something like

"I have known the love of Christ:

For God did not send His Son into the world that He might condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. John 3:17"

It's more of a giving your own testimony rather than 'telling people what to do'. It's an approach that gives people room to consider for themselves if they would like to have Christ in their lives rather than putting up an automatic defense.

Of course follow as the Lord leads you, He can use any part of His Word for His purposes. The above is just an idea. :)
