God confirmed he’s listening

The other night I’m sitting on the couch while my 6 year old son is in the bath tub.

I said a prayer and asked God the strength to increase my faith in him that he’ll help take care of me (i just got laid off work).

Not 5 seconds later I hear my son yelling “Dad, where did God come from!”

He’s NEVER done that before.

I was shocked to hear him say that, and I sat next to him and explained that God is eternal.

It made me very happy that I got to have a conversation about God that I didn’t initiate. And that he’s showing interest in God.

I also started him watching The Chosen. It’s a great way if you have youngsters to get them interested in Jesus.

Reading this reminds me of a situation I experienced. I am a new member here to I hope I am not stepping on this persons thread. At one point in my life I had had it with God not listening to anything I say or pray for. I came to the conclusion that I was not that important in the grand scheme of things and not worth listening to. I had a temper then also and would sometimes take Gods name in vain. Well, I was working on our dishwasher in the kitchen. My wife was at the sink next to me. I had taken the 4 black screws out of the bottom of the dishwasher to access the electrical connection. I finished my work under the dishwasher, all while sitting on the floor there having never got up. When I went to re-assemble the bottom with the 4 screws, they were gone. I asked my wife if she saw them. Nope. 4 black screws on a white tile floor. I stood up to look around and nothing. I started to get mad but I said to myself I will not take God's name in vain. So I said a prayer. "God I will not say your name in vain and if a demon took these temping me to do so, make them bring the screws back." When I finished I looked down and there were all 4 screws. I told my wife "Look they are right there!" He showed me that day that no matter how petty your task is or your worry, he is there.

This kind of thing used to happen to me all the time when I was working on equipment. I used to pray to God over the smallest things in regard to what I was working on. I saw some miracles, that's for sure.

I often do this in my work as well, praying for good ideas, to make the right choices, and serve clients as best I can. Who better to turn to than the greatest Designer ever Who actually invented light and color and the eyeball, and everything.

Welcome to RF Dean :hat.
The child of God never needs to worry nor fret , for He is faithful .

Philippians 4:6
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving
let your requests be made known unto God.

There is a meet in greet thread where you can introduce yourself and tell us a bit about yourself.
We would like to hear from you.
May the Lord bless.

I noticed in your first post that you ended with "I love you".

It struck me because this forum is a safe haven for all of us to enter and discuss the things of God.
It is SO EASY to love others here!!! Doesn't mean we have to agree 100% on every little thing..........
We are God's children and we are brothers and sisters in Christ, coming together to encourage each other and to learn.
Thank you for being so open and honest and reminding us of that.
Welcome to the board!!!

I love you too! :lol
