Getting to know each other

Hi Cassie, be very welcome on the Forums and inro the Fellowship.
We’re all eagerly waiting the Lord’s return, so hopefully we can meet live very soon!

I’ve turned 55 last month, and I can tell you, it doesn’t hurt (getting 40 was my bad moment).
Every day we get older, yes, but every day is also a day nearer to our Blessed Hope.

Love, Erika from the Netherlands, aka Kaatje

Funny thing is, I don't feel 75............well, my body does, due to my bad back. But, I don't feel old in my head...........
I’m glad to hear that I’m not alone in having a mind/body mismatch...... My body is 62, but my brain feels like I did in my 30’s. The mind is willing , but the body is weak. I’ve enjoyed gardening, but it’s now much harder to do things that were not much of a problem before. Have to go out today and finish winterizing as there is talk of weather, like snow showers and 30 degrees, starting...bbrrrr Living in Iowa can be exciting with temps in 70’s on one day and possible snow showers the next. :0_O

I was a nurse for 25 years and have been a sleep tech for the last 15. I love reading all genres, but especially love Christian related books. There’s so much to learn! I work weekends( Fri, Sat and Sun) and watch over 4 of my 5 grandkids for 2-3 days a week. They range from 18 months to 15 years old. I’ll admit I’m exhausted after a day watching them....was much easier 30 years ago.;)

I was on Rapture Ready before coming here to RF and I’m looking forward to meeting everyone face to face, hopefully in near future. There are some family and friends though that still need to come to Christ, so am praying they will soon because time seems so short.

I couldn't help but calculate your ages and marriage years to find out at what age you got married. And found some to be as young as 20.

Anyway, my name is Mildred. I'm turning 24 in November. I'm single, a firstborn and I live with my parents and siblings. I'm hoping to be married and raise my own family God willing but most of all am hoping to be raptured and be with Jesus.

I like writing and reading. I want to experience the real infilling of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues. I work in a hospital but it is a temporary job that will end in six months and I'm not sure if the contract will be renewed. If it is not renewed, I will apply in a bank since I studied finance and banking in the university unlike the temporary job I'm doing now which has nothing to do with my qualifications.

I'm learning to hear from God. I think I haven't matured spiritually but I'm hoping to be used by God soon and be trusted with a divine assignment or work to do.

Hello from Texas! My name is Leigha. I'm 52 and have been married for 29 years. We have two daughters, one SIL, four granddogs, and two pups of our own. I enjoy reading, painting, yarn crafts and sewing. My husband and I like to cook together. We take turns being head chef and sous chef. I'm a retired banker and now work as a secretary at a local middle school.
How blessed you are to have a cook for a partner. I don’t think mine has ever figured out what the range does. LOL. Not trying to hijack the thread.

I'm Peggy from Texas and I'm 37. I've worked in retail for almost 19 years and have been a store manager for almost a year and a half. I've never been married and have no kids, but I do have a beautiful, loving dog who has been a great source of joy for me lately (when she's not driving me crazy lol), the desire of my heart is to one day be able to find "the one" God has for me and have a family, but to be honest I've been losing hope that it will ever happen for me....I'm not getting any younger lol.

Lots of diversity here, just looking back over the thread and it’s just too bad we couldn’t all get together here before we meet in Heaven. With all the turmoil on the world seeming to be increasing exponentially, it may not be that long of a wait. :) In the meantime, I guess holding down the fort will be what we do.

Hope that our Australian family is doing okay with all the fires. I know Walter and Hopefilled are there. The pictures I’ve seen of the air quality in some cities is horrible, not to mention the lives disrupted and unfortunately some lost. Praying the rains will continue to come and help the fire fighters control and extinguish those fires.:pray

Tall Timbers

Imperfect but forgiven
I've had this thought that when Jesus gives me a new name that only I know, he'll whisper in my ear: "Tall". I don't use my real name on bulletin boards because by remaining anonymous I can share more personal stuff when I think it might help someone. Since that personal stuff sometimes includes things about other people, I don't think it would be proper if I were known to share some of the things that I have shared either here or on other Boards
I'm now in my 60s, am married with four now adult kids. The youngest is still in college. I've lived in a lot of different places, but have lived the majority of my years in Alaska. I have a large log home sitting in the middle of 10 acres of land filled with spruce, birch, and aspen trees. It is a wonderful place for me to live, I truly love it here. As I find it more and more difficult to maintain the property, I'm considering leaving Alaska and downsizing to a small single story home somewhere that will be easier for an old guy to maintain. When I pass I want to leave as low an overhead as possible to family that survives me.

I'm retired from the USAF where I was an Electronic Warfare Officer on the RC-135 platforms (all of them that existed during my time except for Combat Sent) and an Intelligence Officer working at a National Agency. I retired at age 46 and have not collected a pay check since then. I've got some disabilities that would make it hard to work a full time job. Thus, I raised our kids and took care of things and what a blessing it was to be there for my kids.

I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ on Oct 10/11 1975. I have two days there. The first day I surrendered my life to Christ. The 2nd day when I woke up after falling asleep in tears I knew my appeal had been heard and I knew that I was a new person and a saved person. Thus began a wonderful journey in Christ that will never end.
