And believe it, many of them are being paid by non-governmental organizations to wreak havoc.
Their surreptitious funding leads to another irony: Why don't these organizations fund their own incident review process in order to weed out bad actors:

1. Place all rioters involved in a shooting on administrative riot leave.
2. Confiscate firearms; determine whether firearms were used in accidental killings of innocent civilians during drive-bys or other Social Justice activities.
3. Interview of subject by Social Justice Warrior Internal Affairs Division.
4. Determine disposition of illegal drugs in possession of Social Justice Warrior.
5. If there are insufficient funds to pay criminal defense attorneys, or if a successful defense is unlikely, proceed to step 6:
6. Witness Protection Program
-create new identity
-relocate subject to city where major defunding of police has occurred.
-create funding source through book deals and masked TV appearances.

Funny but, unfortunately, reflective of their lunatic fringe actors.

Another Night Of Unrest In Uptown

"MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Tensions are continuing to plague Minneapolis’ Uptown neighborhood as overnight roads were blocked and small fires were set in the street.
The nightly back-and-forth between demonstrators and police has been going on for weeks, since a U.S. Marshals Service task force fatally shot Winston Smith atop a parking ramp. The tensions have pushed area businesses into a corner and forced events to cancel.
The latest event to be canceled was the Uptown Art Fair, which generally brings about a quarter of a million people to Uptown to enjoy art, shopping and dining. Organizers say they agonized over the decision but felt that they had to make the call due to an uptick in crime, shortage of police officers and lack of planning time.
For the 300+ artists employed by the fair, the cancellation has an economic impact. For some of them, the Uptown Art Fair makes up about a quarter of their annual income. The fair was also canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic."

Uptown Residents Question Law Enforcement Response To Recent Crime

"MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Total chaos. That’s how some describe the scene at the Uptown neighborhood of Minneapolis.
Gun shots are fired from a car spinning around on Lake Street Wednesday night. From car racing to people setting small fires and blocking off roads.
The back and forth between officials and troublemakers has been going on every night for weeks. People who live and work in that area say it’s not safe and they need help to turn things around.
“There were at least six or seven cars doing burnouts, donuts, fishtails and then the guy pulls out a handgun and starts shooting it in the air,” said Dave LaLiberte.
LaLiberte lives and owns a business close to where hot rodding and shooting has taken hold in Uptown.
“Criminal activity going on, fires being lit,” LaLiberte said.
He and others who live and work in this area want answers as to why it keeps happening and why law enforcement is not stopping it.
