Farmers say supply chain shortage about to become a whole lot worse…

Supply chain shortage is driving up prices. Farmers are worried it could grow worse.

Joel Everett said he was astounded when a lightly used 2009 John Deere tractor sold at his last auction in Strawberry Point, Iowa, for tens of thousands of dollars more than it had cost fresh off the production line more than a decade ago.

Quality farm equipment is getting hard to find amid the supply chain shortage, many farmers and experts said, and its scarcity is driving up prices and raising questions about whether farmers' harvests and next year's planting season could be affected.
Some farmers are concerned that the shortage could grow worse after 10,000 John Deere workers went on strike last week. The company had reported record profits this year, and United Auto Workers union members walked off the job at 14 manufacturing plants when it refused to raise wages above 6 percent.

Seems like we're constantly getting more bad news on top of bad news. How good it is to be a Believer in such a time as this. If I weren't a Believer I could imagine it wouldn't be overly hard to fall into despair as things get worse and then worse. Thankfully I can continue to rejoice and praise the Lord as I know He has our best interests in mind and has a wonderful plan for us, and he's coming to fetch us soon.

God promises that if we seek His kingdom first and His righteousness, then He's going to make sure our needs are met. Honestly, if I didn't know Jesus as my Savior and that we're living out bible prophecy of the Last Days in real time, I'd be afraid to go out of my house. In fact, I probably wouldn't be able to get out of bed, I'd be so terrified and depressed.

So true, especially seeing how evil and absurd policies are causing most of this.

It will get worse...........much worse. But, we are not intended to be subject to the very worse.

TT, I agree with you about the despair that the unsaved (and even those Christians who don't know prophetic scripture) are going
to feel abject despair............. but, also, so many of them are going to be experiencing denial, too. Denial of all God has shared with us
about this particular time in history. It is definitely going to be the most terrifying time EVER.

That's right, Kathy. So many Christians, especially the younger ones, are not much interested in going to heaven right away. Oh, I know there are exceptions, some of whom are members here at RF. But, they are in the minority, for sure.

I've got a 2012 John Deere 5055E I'd like to sell for what I paid for it. Then I could buy a Kubota that I could actually use instead of a tractor constantly in the shop for repairs. Let me know any offers.

Here in Wales we are looking at exponential increases in the cost of fertiliser, seeds, feedstuffs, equipment and machinery and of course fuel. Currently fertiliser has gone from roughly £300/tonne to £750 with talk of it going to £1000. At these levels the use of fertilisers to grow any kind of crop be it cereals, grass or vegetables so yields will suffer or land will go unplanted. We are in unprecedented times, I’m 53 and never seen anything like it. In the UK there are very few Christians in agriculture, I love watching American farmers on YouTube because it soon becomes obvious that that there are lots of Christians in agriculture in the US, in a previous post on here I’ve alluded to the devastating impact the rapture will have on food production with the loss of the generations of skill built up on the family farm.
I ask my friends and customers what they will do next year and they just shrug their shoulders and say they don’t know. I encourage everyone to start growing their own food and build up at least a couple of months worth of basic staple foods and essential items.
