Excellent source for audio commentaries

I just discovered blueletterbible.org a few minutes ago and I wish I had known about it a lot earlier. It contains a ton of streaming and downloadable audio commentaries from people such as J. Vernon McGee and Dr. Chuck Missler, two of my favorite teachers.

Well worth your time to check it out, if you don't already know about it.

Thanks, Jonathan! I have visited Blue letter bible before, but did not look at the audio selections on their site. This could really be convenient when driving to be hearing spoken commentary by two trusted Bible teachers. I sometimes teach a small class of women & I drive almost an hour to get to the place where we meet. It will be a blessing to me to have this playing while on the way to teach. I will likely hear some good points that I might have missed in my preparation.

I've used BlueLetterBible.org for a long time now. It is from what I understand a project of Chuck Missler's KHouse.org Ministry.

I don't listen to the audio portion of the site due to my hearing issues, but I use the many other features like the looking at word meanings, comparing different versions of the Bible, Commentaries, etc.

BLB is a good site and I highly recommend it. :thumbup

Pardon me if I wander into, 'none of my business', but is it complete hearing loss or simply air conduction loss? If it's the latter, I can happily recommend bone conduction head sets as a life changer...particularly for losses that occur in the range of human speech. I dropped the dime on AfterShokz Aeropex and am hearing sounds from my phone/media player that I never heard before in my life.

Chris, I believe that BLB was started by Chuck Smith, founder of Calvary Chapel, Costa Mesa.

I'm sorry but I don't want to go into that. Thank you for understanding.

I thought it was Chuck Missler's project, so after your comments, I went and looked around. On this page it gives some clues as it doesn't outright say who was the founder of the project on the "about us" page, but this page has some clues:

https://www.blueletterbible.org/ministry/links.cfm

Sowing Circle
Sponsor and Co-Founder of the Blue Letter Bible website.

Koinonia House
Co-Founder of the Blue Letter Bible website. Koinonia House is the ministry of Chuck and Nancy Missler. Its purpose is to encourage and facilitate the serious study of the Bible as the inerrant Word of God!

The Word For Today
The Word For Today is an outreach of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. Pastor Chuck Smith came alongside the ministry of the Blue Letter Bible at its outset, providing his text and audio commentaries on the Bible. Our grateful appreciation to Pastor Chuck.

I'm not sure who is behind the "Sowing Circle" website as there is no "about us" section but they do say:

Welcome to the Sowing Circle web site. Sowing Circle is a ministry dedicated to sowing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that one of the most effective methods to spread the Word is to work together with other ministries in evangelizing, teaching the Scriptures and ministering in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

We seek to do this through a few different avenues. The primary operational focus is providing the Blue Letter Bible website as an aid in studying the Scriptures. In addition, a sister ministry to the Blue Letter Bible is the Blue Letter Bible Institute, where we are offering quality Bible courses over the Internet. In addition, we seek to help other ministries through assisting them with the operational aspects of their ministry and by providing exposure to the World Wide Web through this web site.

I can't glean any information from the domain name registration either. The best I can tell is they may want to be anonymous. :idunno

Thank you for searching that out.
It's a great Bible resource, I've been using it for years.
