Evil in the Life of a Believer

♥ Standing with Israel
Well, I feel like a traitor almost, but DH scoped out a pup, because he can’t stand to see the red hot mess I turned into! We are on the way back home from getting him! I feel better, but I miss Gus still! I envisioned him last night hanging out with the rest of my departed fur kids with them scolding him….”look at what you have done to her! Youve broken her heart!” Then I thought, it doesn’t really matter, because they are all up there at the feet of my Lord!

Not replaced at all!
Wishing you lots of cuddles, laughter and love with your new puppy!

I'm sorry to hear about that. I lost one dog last year and the other the year before. Just found out my oldest cat who is 14 has kidney failure. He has lost a lot of muscle mass and we are giving him fluids through the neck every other day. It's just a matter of time before I have to deal with this again. :sad

I know the Bible doesn't mention it, but I do believe that we will see out pets again in Heaven. :thumbup

Chris, I’m so sorry. I’m praying he goes peacefully during a nap. :hug

The new boy is my Avatar and he’s lots of company, although not a replacement for Gus! Gosh I miss that rascal!

I see that I have a lot of pooch loving brothers and sisters on this forum and in church as well! Thank You Lord for these precious people whose presence is a great comfort!

Dear Bethlehem, I am so very sorry your beloved pet, Gus was lost to you. I pray to Jesus that your heart be healed. That after you shed tears, the heartache will lessen. I pray that in its stead will be good memories and joy in your heart and mind. Joy, in the knowledge that you will again see Gus in heaven. I believe we will see our beloved pets in heaven also. He will be there to greet you and once again you will be together in joy and comfort, with Jesus. God Bless and Keep you.

As I get older my animals have more value to me and they are a great comfort to me. But what does the Scripture say?

Eccl 3:19 For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity. 20 All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again. 21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

When the beast “animals” dies, its spirit goes down to the earth, from whence it came, and is resolved into it, and is no more. Strictly speaking, animals have body and soul but no spirit. Nothing is said in the Bible concerning life after death for animals.

From the NT, we know that the spirit and soul of the believer go to be with Christ at the time of death (2Co 5:8), and his body goes to the grave (Act 8:2). The spirit and soul of the unbeliever go to Hades “Hell”, and his body goes to the grave (Luke 16:22-23). When Christ comes into the air, the bodies of those who have died in faith will be raised in glorified form and reunited with the spirit and soul (Phil 3:20-21; 1Th 4:16-17). The bodies of the unbelieving dead will be raised at the Great White Throne Judgment, reunited with the spirit and soul, then cast into the lake of fire (Rev 20:12-14).

Christians don't believe that "going to heaven" happens automatically; it's the result of conscious decisions made during one's life. While the Bible is very specific about the requirements for human salvation, it says nothing about salvation for animals.

There are many passages that tell us that men and women have spirits and need their sins forgiven. Forgiveness of sin is possible only through faith in Jesus Christ.

I do feel for you, there is one way to get over this “share the Gospel” and you will feel much better.

We have the “The Great Commission” given to us be Jesus Christ “Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” I care for my animals in a human way, but I care for “mankind” much more in a Spiritual way.

My heart goes out to you Bethlehem 57. Have lost too many pets in the past and is a complete devastation when it occurs. I know - many say our passed away pets will be waiting for us once we're in heaven after the Rapture. Wether that is true or not I'm honestly not sure about that. Would be an awesome gift to receive!
That's for sure!!

He is an absolute mess! I have never had a dog with so much personality! He hops when he walks and his ears are beginning to stand up. I think he will be a handsome devil when he’s finished growing. Not that I don’t fall back into missing Gus, but Wallace (Wally) definitely has wormed his way into our hearts! Thank You Lord, for sending Wally!

I love the name Wally and looking at your avatar he looks like a very handsome pooch. :bluesclues:thedog Glad that little Wally is bringing you so much pleasure. Puppies are so much fun but I don't miss some of their puppy antics like when my Sheltie puppy chewed up one of my baseboards. (Even though they had an entire basket of chew toys!). I have 2 Shelties (Cooper and Casey) that are 4 and 6 years old and we are past the puppy stage!

That’s what I wasn’t looking forward to! After we got his papers, we found that he’d been born on 3/15, so he was taken away from his mom way too soon! But thankfully he’s healthy and the potty training is going well. These Scottie have such a great personality, they talk so much! He’s stubborn, but having owned one long ago, we knew what we were getting. They don’t get mad, they get even. And they are definitely not for just anyone!

So Gus is up in heaven, waiting for me! I know the rest of my fur kids that are there are probably scolding him, saying “look what you’ve done to her! You’ve broken her heart!” But God had a plan already and Wally hasn’t taken his place, but he’s found his own way into both my DH and my hearts!

Thank You my Blessed Savior! Again, I have to say, “How deep is the Father’s love for us! He genuinely cares about every aspect of our lives!”

Thank you all my brand sisters for your prayers! They are so valuable to me!
