Election Day

Speaking of the absentee ballots... hundreds of thousands of them have been now delivered to the various state election officials/offices. It is opined that they could overturn the results as we know them in several battlegound states and shift those electoral votes to Romney. Remember, the Electoral College's "Meeting of Electors" does not occur in each and every state until 17 December 2012. This is to certify the election. Lawyers are now hard at working seeking to have the US Armed Forces absentee ballots counted. Congress does not meet in joint session for its electoral vote count until 6 January 2013.

It ain't really over until it's over.

That is true, but the margin is so large that while the final numbers may change, the outcome will not. This isn't 2000. This is a football team trailing by three touchdowns in the final minute of a game.
