Egypt’s pyramids continue stunning experts, as new hidden rooms discovered
New rooms were discovered in the Sahura’s Pyramid.
By JERUSALEM POST STAFF

Despite years of research into Egypt’s archaeological treasures, researchers have continued to uncover new secrets and mysteries from the ancient sites, according to a statement made from the Julius-Maximilians-Universität of Würzburg on September 27.

New rooms were discovered in the Sahura’s Pyramid by researchers from Egypt and Germany. The efforts, which were led by Egyptian-German Egyptologist Dr. Mohamed Ismail Khaled, helps to shed light on the architecture of the pyramid of the second king of the Fifth Dynasty (2400 BC) and the first king to be buried at Abusir.

They keep finding hidden everything in the pyramids, but never tell us what the hydrographics say. If you're not gonna share all the information, don't share any of it. I wanna know what the Egyptians were saying and hiding.

I remember reading that some of the graffiti on the ancient city of Pompeii-- could have been taken from any modern wall -- at least the literate graffiti, not those weird signatures. Same themes.

Wanna bet that some of ancient Egypt was just saying things like My Mummy is more high class than your Mummy, or try our latest mummification technique on YOUR mother in law's corpse. Satisfaction guaranteed or twice your in laws back.

I saw a documentary on Ancient Egypt where they pointed out some of the graffiti on the less grand buildings and yeah, people back then were as mature as the people of today. A lot of the ancient scrolls they found were basically porn as well. There was a record of a foreign visitor who was shocked and appalled by the behaviour and licentiousness of the local Egyptians.

Unsaved humanity is the same fallen sinful mess it's been since the Garden. I think the surprise for me is why Egypt wasn't as bad as Sodom and Gomorrah. Rome was bordering on it.

Ever read anything about what they've found in Pompey? Rome was Sodom and Gomorrah and so was Greece and every country promenante or not out there, God can't destroy all of them at once or there would be no humans left to redeem. The reason God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah was for more reason than their homosexuality, these places went after strange flesh, meaning the they in Daniel that mixes their seed with mankind in the last days.. that kind of strange flesh. But then, do did the Egyptians, God has his reasons for not destroying Egypt, he was going to use Egypt to protect his son when the time came.

I bet (unlike today) they did not have “my dad is the best mommy ever”
Nope that is a fresh wrinkle on sin, and I don't think even Sodom or the pre flood earth was up to that stuff. I do know that according to the Jewish historical writings that were handed down that DID describe pre flood that a couple of years before the Flood they had legalized same sex marriage. Even though they aren't as accurate or trustworthy as the Bible historical documents that are handed down are pretty well recognized as "source documents" in real history. Josephus quotes some of them, the Talmud preserved others. Non canonical but still pretty trustworthy as history goes.

Actually I have. Rome and Greece were pretty bad but I've also read what was going on in Sodom from some of those other non biblical historical sources and S&G were actually worse, bad as the situation was in Rome and Greece for pedophilia, infanticide, homosexuality and other stuff.

S&G did all that plus they made a sport out of slowly murdering visitors to their cities. They competed with each other in ways to torture people that didn't belong to them and who happened to visit S&G or were found in the neighbourhood. The non canonical historical sources don't mention the fallen angelic relationships though. One account mentions a traveller taking 30 days to die of thirst in the heat being tied up in the town centre and given occasional sips so he didn't die too soon. A girl from a family in town took pity on him half way thru his death process and tried to get him water, food and untie him to escape but she was caught and they tortured her to death too.

The account in Genesis of S&G's treatment of the angels, was pretty much how they treated people who DID actually have a tie to those cities--who were expected in the home of a citizen. Lot's offer of his daughters appears to be a desperate gamble on Lot's part-- to protect his visitors and hope that his daughters would get off fairly lightly. They had fiance's in the cities that could presumably rescue them after a few dozen had raped them. Maybe they'd survive.

The 2 cities were so bad that after I read the historical accounts which I won't mention here due to site rules I no longer wondered why God destroyed them, I only wondered at His patience in letting them live as long as He did.

There was an article I read a few years ago that cited a book where the author mentioned that legalized same sex marriages were allowed in Sodom. As I recall the author referenced some ancient Hebrew texts (perhaps the Talmud), so you are on to something here. It is one thing to do these things in secret, but when society legaizes it then it “opens the floodgates” as we are experiencing. (sorry for the cheap pun).
