New York Attorney General Letitia James has said that the investigation uncovered "significant evidence" that Trump and the company fraudulently valued many of its assets.

Donald Trump and his adult children were sued for "numerous acts of fraud and misrepresentation" on Wednesday by New York state's attorney general in a civil investigation into the former US president's business practices, court records showed.

The lawsuit, filed in a New York state court in Manhattan, accused the Trump Organization of wrongdoing in preparing Trump's annual statements of financial condition from 2011 to 2021. It also named the Trump Organization, the former president's son Donald Trump Jr. and his daughter Ivanka Trump as defendants.

Attorney General Letitia James said Trump and the Trump Organization misstated the values of its real estate properties to obtain favorable loans and tax benefits. She said she was referring allegations of criminal wrongdoing to federal prosecutors in Manhattan and the Internal Revenue Service.

This should come as no surprise given that Letitia James ran for office on one platform only in 2018: Get Trump no matter what. While she has not paid one iota of attention to crime and whatnot in NY she has worked diligently to fulfill this campaign promise. If Trump loses this case in court he should pull up stakes and move his business offices to Florida and sell every piece of property he owns in NY. Yes, including his beloved Trump Tower. I also think that if he and his family don’t know the Lord that they get acquainted with Him in a right smart hurry. If he loses, this will just embolden his enemies to press harder. While I appreciate the good he did as president I am coming around to the idea that announcing his retirement from politics is the only sane thing to do. Of course his opposition will cheer and gloat but I think it would be best for him and his family. We are in the end times and nothing will change that.
