Delusion is spreading

The speed at which the evil groundwork is being laid is mind boggling to me, I see and hear it with other people who are often "church" attendees, it is saddening to know where they are heading ..... I had a few encounters last week which really showed me how bad it is getting ......

1. Wednesday : Two self labeled "christian" lady that did not go to church, one of them said she doesn't agree with that religious stuff and thinks the alphabet soup people are misunderstood so religious people should be quiet about it all, I noted that her eyes were dark black and very scary ... I spoke about the differences of religion and Christianity and eventually gave her a tract which she took to "definitely" read.

2. Thursday: A church coffee morning and another self labeled christian lady who said definitley that Jesus was her Lord and saviour, but was also a reiki healer, an angeloligist and spiritualist, I noted that her eyes were dark black and very scary- yes her's too .... she did not like the scripture verses at all so got up and left.....so then I got talking to an 80yo lady who was sitting very close and who had been listening to our conversation because she commented on it, she took a tract and promised to read it. Praise God

3. A christian shop assistant in a church opportunity shop who recounted a split in her church caused by the woman pastor taking 60% of the congregation with her as she did not support their "church hierarchy" stance on same sex marriage, now that woman was glad to see the pastor leave as she knew woman should not preach in mixed congregations BUT the woman was going to stay in the church that was supporting same sex marraige because God had not told her to leave (Rev 18:4 might apply) Praise God

4. A so called "roving" pastor of a "healing and miracles" ministry was a visitor to our (fundamentalist) church yesterday that I got talking too, and after just a few questions by myself showed he believed all religions lead to God and Jesus was just one of many healers, he showed me his pastors ID card and said he was more qualified than I was to know what was right LOL. I unfortunatley was the cause of him leaving early by quoting John 14:6 each time he tried to tell me something to the contrary .... this guy was evil wrapped in a thin layer of truth but God showed me where to unwrap it eh!.

Im thinking in most churches, you could find similiar people in attendance. I think the problem is we all like to think everyone in the pews are there because they believe the entirety of His Word. However, many like to pick and choose what they believe as they create their own version of who God is.

I challenge anyone to ask at least 5 people next time they are in church “how is one saved”. You may be stunned at the responses.

You're completely right! I was stunned at my last church how many believe in some mystical ideas. What's weird is that the Pastor preaches against those things. I wonder, do they just hear it and say nah. I don't get it.

I remember when I confronted a couple who disregards the pretrib rapture. I asked them why do they stay at our church when our Pastor is adamant on his pretrib rapture stance. They just gave me blank stares. At first they seemed surprised, and said oh really? I was like do you not go to the same church as me??

How can you miss it!! It's highlighted every quarter when Bible prophecy is talked about. We have a visitor who always tells us to look up and listen for the shofar for the rapture. He actually blows a shofar at the end. That's pretty highlighted to me. Lol. The husband has been at those services too because I stared at him to get his reaction lol. I don't get it.

Sorry for the vent. I just hear so many false beliefs in churches where there is solid preaching. I just want to put a sign over all of those people so everyone knows the nonsense they believe to mark and avoid.

That's why I'm sticking with my idea of carrying my own statement of faith that I will give to new interested friends. They will be non negotiables for a friendship. Lol.

I just saw a new client who told me she believes in Jesus Christ and is a psychic and believes in spirit guides. I was like oh here we go. I have my hands full. I've been praying to find the right way to start chipping away at those beliefs using scripture. I know tact and prayer will be necessary.

Wow, pretty stunning stuff there. It certainly shows we've got our work cut out for us!

Len, I love how you used scripture to counter! I remember someone asking me my credentials and I had responded something like 'actually reading the Bible'.

Later the thought that not all the Apostles were 'educated' but they were empowered by the Holy Spirit and knew scripure and most importantly Jesus. That seemed to be enough for God (not that a good, and Godly education isn't a bad idea....if found).

Thank God that in Christ we overcome and it's all His battle.

Blood bought child of the King of kings.
Yup deception is definitely spreading and a good sign of what is to come.
Deception comes from Satan especially during this last days and especially during the Tribulation.
However 'strong delusion ' that we find in 2nd. Thessalonians 2:11 is from God Himself.

You guys are right on the money. I lead a ladies Bible study. One of the attendees said that she only reads verses that God tells her to read & only then does she read.

Another ugly thing that has reared its head in our church is people living together prior to marriage & leading a Bible study in their home. Now there are two other not married/living together couples attending that Bible study. I’m thinking “Y’all must have skipped over the verses about fornication”.

Some of us must be reading a different Bible.

I find that so frustrating. They just ignore the verses that address their own sin. They make themselves into a god.

You're right. Knowing the Word is all that's needed as The Fear of the God is the beginning of knowledge and Wisdom. I think of Proverbs 31:26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness. I doubt she had a college education, lol

NKJV Leviticus 19:31

Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am the Lord your God.

Apostasy in the church is surely a sign of the end times. As much as we would like to believe that everyone who sits in a church pew is committed to the ideals and theology of the church you are in for a rude awakening. They are just pew warmers.

Just this week I learned of a long time member of our church say, We need to learn to look past the theology in the church. I also just found out her daughter, also a long time member, recently married a woman.

Ugh, my wife and I had a deep discussion on this yesterday. We are in a small rural Baptist church. I don’t think anyone in our church expected this to affect us.

I know where my pastor stands on this. His viewpoint is 100% biblical, as my wife and I share his viewpoint.

I have known this dear sister a long time and I can’t imagine her heartache. I’ve known her daughter since she was a infant.

I told my wife there was no need to rethink our church’s theology as it is biblically correct. Our denomination is arguing this issue and may wind up splitting as some others have.

No church, no family is immune to this. You cannot pick and choose which parts of the Bible you wish to believe.

This is very disconcerting to witness, but Paul did tell us that this would get worse in the end times so we shouldn't be surprised by it. I still wonder sometimes how many will really be raptured knowing that this apostasy is spreading like wildfire.
