Creative ways to witness?

Armor of Light

Praising my Savior all the day long!
I am working on some tracts, one for fishermen since I am blessed with skills associated with fishing(angling) and like sharing helpful fishing info ,I have John 3:16 in my boat and that can be an door opener to witnessing, Jesus was the greatest fisherman, paid a tax with a caught fish with coin in it's mouth, told Peter to throw over the right side of the boat(he didn't want to because of a bad fishing night) and they hauled in a record net breaking catch, and He was a fisher of men which we are too!
Sometimes being able to share life experiences and make friends gives you an edge, a way to share Jesus, that's how I got saved, by a fisherman.

Pray so they do not serve alone. Ephesians 6:10-20
Is God talking to you, prodding you? Have you prayed about this?

Are you affiliated with a church or ministry? Does the church/ministry have any social outreach or evangelism programs?

How successful has your tract ministry been? Why or why not? How do you know?

Where/under what circumstances/situations do you meet/interact with people?

What are the laws about evangelism in your area?

Are there any specifically unreached/underserved groups in your area? Immigrant groups that are predominantly another religion? Ethnic groups that are predominantly another religion? BTW, I don't mean other Christian denominations. It's important not to steal sheep... we need new sheep instead of shuffling sheep :smile

What are you comfortable doing/saying? What are you not comfortable doing/saying?

What kinds of hobbies, skills, work, etc. do you do? What are you interested in? And the flip side: what are you not so good at or not interested in?

Witnessing can be plowing the field, sowing, nurturing, or reaping. Or it can be buying the seed, fuel, tractor, or gas. Or it can be toting the water, fertilizer, or sacks. Sometimes witnessing/serving opportunities are indirect, or they come about from involvement in other activities or missions. A lot of time, evangelism/witnessing is simply ordinary people talking to other ordinary people in the course of daily activities. No frills, no fancy-shmancy, and no real preparation/intent other than loving the Lord, knowing what you believe, why you believe it, and being able to explain it/answer questions (not necessarily all of them).

Regardless of how you witness/serve, how you conduct yourself can be the most important witness of all.

If you provide more information, it will be easier for reasonable/helpful suggestions.

:pray :amen

Jesus loved us and said we should Love our enemies
So I been passing out tracts since 2006 and I havent come up with any other ways to witness to the lost that would be creative? So family do you have any recommendations?
Thanks christ4ever777 for asking this question,
I hope this thread stays active. A fish jumped in my boat yesterday while I was busy baiting my fishing rod. The fishes name is Guy. I keep a constant line of communicating open about God with everyone I know. So for the past couple of years Guy has been asking me bible based questions. He was raised as a catholic but now that he is in his 60's he listens to Christian teachers on the radio and reads the bible...but he has not come right out and told me that he is a Christian believer. So I make myself available whenever he asks a question. Yesterday, Guy, dropped by and asked about confession..."Wow"...what an opportunity to share the gospel. He had tears in his eyes by the time he left. I gave him my business card, which is a card that I made up with the gospel message on one side and a prayer of forgiveness on the other. These cards are the same size as a business card, so they are easy to keep in my wallet and hand out as needed.
God bless,
Brother Albert
PS Here are a couple of good conversation starters...
Do you go to church anywhere?
Who do you think is the most influential person in history?
Do you think the universe started out by chance or do you believe there has to be a Creator?

I have been working on my tract and I think I have it as simple and to the point what salvation is and why we need it and what Jesus did for us. I wanted it simple, so it would fit in a shirt pocket, I have not printed it yet so I may have to reduce the size a bit or make it a fold over printed on 4 sides if need be. Can I post it and get some of your thoughts before I head to print shop ?

I am going to add 1 or 2 items, but here is the rough draft.

God's Perfect Plan
God's perfect and simple salvation plan for everyone to be forgiven and not have to fear Him or face His wrath and judgment when we die.

Bible verses concerning sin, death and forgiveness:

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord

Hebrews 9:27 just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment

Romans 5:8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Romans 10:9-10 if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

Romans 10:13 For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

Everyone has sinned, no exceptions, no one is good enough to enter heaven on their own merit and God tells us so in His word. God loves each of us so much that he provided a way that we could be set free of our sin penalty, spiritual death, judgment and separation from God for all eternity. The way God provided for us was Jesus death on the cross ,by placing all our sins on him we would not have to pay the penalty, this is grace, God's gift to mankind.
Ephesians 2:8 8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-

So how do you receive this gift you ask, simple, repent (have a change of mind towards God and sin) ask his forgiveness for living independently of Him, ask him to forgive all your sin, ask forgiveness of rejecting Jesus finished work and death on the cross for you. You see the only sin that can not be forgiven is the one of not accepting Jesus, God's son who came and died for your sins.

There it is, God's Perfect Plan, not complicated, so simple: Lord God, please forgive me a sinner, I need a savior, I need Jesus and your gift of salvation I will not live independently of you any longer. I am trusting you Jesus and your finished work at the cross for my sins please forgive me and accept me into your kingdom, I receive your forgiveness and your gift. Amen

When he comes, will he find faith? Luke 18:8
I take advantage that there are no cameras in restrooms and leave tracts in there.
I don't have the courage to walk up to a stranger to hand them out personally.

Today, two women in my office were talking about how they would spend the 1.6 billion lottery winnings. I asked them, "what would you do with the money that would change a person's eternal destination?" That question opened up a good conversation and set things up to share the gospel tomorrow.

If you think about it, you can steer many regular conversations to the gospel.
