Crazy weather extremes

Today we had a temperature of 40+ degrees Celcius.
That’s about 105-110 degrees Fahrenheit.

At this moment the sun is almost down and the temperature hast “dropped” to 37 C.
Tomorrow will be another scorching hot day. It is almost unbearable.
Australian summers have been like that for a few years, the heat at night is what i find unbearable, especially witg no air conditioning

Do y'all have a lot of humidity, too, or are y'all able to use "swamp coolers" to help with the heat? When we lived in west Texas and southern Arizona, cooling was via a swamp cooler. It's not as good as an air conditioner though.
