China holds 'stunning lead' over US in competition for key technology
China had established a "stunning lead in high-impact research" under government programs against the West, The Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) said.

China has a "stunning lead" in 37 out of 44 critical and emerging technologies as Western democracies lose a global competition for research output, a security think tank said on Thursday after tracking defense, space, energy and biotechnology. The Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) said its study showed that, in some fields, all of the world's top 10 research institutions are based in China. The study, funded by the United States State Department, found the United States was often second-ranked, although it led global research in high-performance computing, quantum computing, small satellites and vaccines.

Agree 100%. The U.S. puts more emphasis on correct pronoun usage and DEI than STEM education. Plus, we can't let little Johnny get a bad grade because that would hurt his feelings, so let's just pass everyone. Sickening is what it is.

I wonder how much was stolen due to US government mandate for information and data to not be behind paywalls, selective sharing (open access, etc.), and limiting/banning use of information embargoes/delayed release?

I wonder how much $$$$$ was pulled or withheld from intellectual property offices (trademark, patent, and copyright) and then used for evil purposes?

military equipment in Afghanistan has made the Taliban the second biggest arms dealer in the world. The Taliban gave one Apache helicopter to China and one to Russia. They will be taken apart and duplicated just like every aircraft since WWII. Stalin actually built a fleet of B-29s (Hiroshima; Nagasaki) using a B-29 that crashed near Russia. Our total debt to China has recently crept just over one TRILLION dollars. Biden is now waffling on prior agreements to stop trade in high tech industries with China and to evaluate each such trade deal. I can’t foresee how those discussions are going to be finalized but they pertain to national security issues. Ask ICE how much Biden cares about national security. Since China won’t talk to Joe, they have cut off the only possibility of being influenced by him, that chance being between nil and none. Joe is laughable,
stammering speech and no action. It’s as though he believes his final judgment will be based on how well he treated China. There are actually some older financial assistance programs in which your tax dollars still go to China.
