Reading the comments on tv. It says another officer put a knee on a persons neck and the person died
they didn't, they will have their own trial(s). Chauvin was tried separately

Next thing you know, if cities allow police to remain at all, the only thing police will be able to do to apprehend a criminal is say pretty please stop so I can arrest you. If the criminal doesn't choose to cooperate, he/she can simply walk away. See ya.

The press conference is nothing but a propoganda pep rally. I would have removed the city council, AG of Minnesota along with the mayor of Minneapolis for not squashing the riots last year. Instead of arresting and ending it they were complacent. Tbh the propagandists trying to turn the police depts into empathetic social workers is nothing but a front to defend the destructive culture surrounding minority communities sadly instead of proper fixes they want bandaid that harm the innocent and let the violent criminals get away with crime. What is needed is training procedures to be changed not reducing the police depts. budget. The court verdict has been served and more than likely upheld but instead of letting the court trial to happen the court of public opinion and lawmakers. Pelosi and Waters need to step away and not get involved. It's not their district and they cause more issues meddling with issues that don't pertain to their job they are to represent California not Minnesota. The true fix would be a cultural shift that denounces criminal activities within the community and making sure youth in these communities aren't lured into lifestyles that damage their life. Drugs, gangs, and violence have destroyed minority communities.

The problem is, what if the higher court is also politically motivated? What if the rulers issue threats of violence once again in order to ensure their desired outcome?

I don't care if riots happen or not. Justice must be served, and in this case it clearly was not.
Just do the right thing and let the chips fall where they may.

The press conference can't admit the truth? Crime and poverty within the African American community is the major factor in what leads to a lot of these cases? The whole thing has been anti police and not mentioning failed government policies that have failed minority communities it isn't just bad police officers. There is a spin on it and it ignores crime within the community and the culture and failed polices that redlined areas with minorities.

I heard the city of Minneapolis paid the Floyd family something like 27 million. Fools, they need that money for police hiring bonuses, good luck getting police to join the force
