Canada slaps sanctions on Iran for human rights violations amid protests
Last week, Canadian PM Justin Trudeau said new sanctions would be placed on Iran in light of the violent crackdown on protesters.

The Canadian government announced a series of sanctions against Iranian officials and entities on Monday due to "gross human rights violations" committed against protesters in Iran in recent weeks. The new sanctions targeted 25 individuals and nine entities, including senior Iranian officials and entities involved in repressive measures, violations of human rights and the spread of the Iranian government's propaganda and misinformation.

Among those sanctions are Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces Mohammed-Hossein Bagheri, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Commander-in-Chief Maj.-Gen. Hossein Salami, IRGC Quds Force commander Esmail Qaani, the IRGC's cyber defense command, the Evin Prison, used to house political prisoners, Iran's morality police and Iranian Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib.

I'd feel better if I hadn't heard a rumour that we are taking in some high ranking Iranian official and his family who are leaving Iran right now. I'm not sure if they are just taking their ill gotten money and leaving before they get lynched or whether they are genuine political refugees.

A majority of middle eastern "refugees" that have settled in Australia are the ones that cause all the trouble and want their muslim culture to take over instead of assimilating , it's only a small few who are genuine refugees and make a decent attempt of intergrating into the culture of our country

Trudeau made a habit of prioritizing restless grumpy Muslims who turn around and do all kinds of despicable things to their Canadian hosts. I'm sorry it's over there with you too, but I remember several attacks over the past few years proving how deadly these "refugees" are.
