The Canadian mob is licking their chops. Hope the freak Trudeau is ready for a Canadian Al Capone.

Yep, and 1776 was America's birth after ppl fought for freedom from England. Unfortunately many ppl died so that we could be free... if ppl didnt have guns back then America might still be a colony of England.

Freedom isnt free. All these murderous leaders who stomp on freedom (the peaceful trucker convoy in Canada...had me teared up every day seeing the Canadian patriotism n kindnesses!!! But they were harassed n their donations unlawfully messed with) need to be taken to task...not saying killing them, but removed from office at least for violating constitutions. USA's constitution warns against such control by leaders...I pray that leaders are given consequences for turning govts into something they are not supposed to be. Put all the swamp creatures into the kind of prisons that they threw the Jan 6 ppl into...no visitors allowed.

That too could be part of the plan. Then when barring law abiding people from access to guns, the criminal element escalates. Then imagine defending police. Not a lot of response personnel to quash the criminal outbreak.

What to do?

Martial law. Because we obviously can't be trusted with our own freedom.

Only the law abiding obey laws. Outlawing guns makes it easier for the criminal element to not meet armed resistance.
Exactly. In countries where guns arent allowed, ppl still get murdered...its a heart n mental issue...

Was it awesome in Uvalde Texas?
God doesnt take away ppl's free will. And govts shouldnt take lawful citizens' either. Violence in society is growing because the govt fans the flames of it. It surprises me but probably shouldnt that the govt promotes abortion murder yet wants to take lawful ppls protection means away from them. God does help us, PS 91, but He allows free will of ppl too. So it's great to have God's protection, and the means to stop evil as well. Maybe God protected some others in that school from getting killed by sending in the person who stopped the shooter. Of course, God could have used any of the cops that were there, and maybe God told them to get in there n stop it (not just go get their own kids out) but God wont force ppl to obey Him. I am thankful for the person who DID do the right thing...

I know it doesn't seem like it but God was there with those precious children. He didn't turn His face away from them.
And I am praying that God turns what the devil meant for harm into good...that believers will minister to every single family that had a family member in that school...that ppl will draw near to God for comfort and be saved. I cant imagine the emotional n mental trauma that especially the children who were in that school might be suffering from! They need help, n I am praying that Christians help them n comfort them, etc. Like maybe free counseling ...those kids need to talk n be heard n be taught how to deal with their anguish. Everyone in that school was a victim n I pray that God heals them all n draws them to Him!!

Canada moves to ban sale of handguns in sweeping bill introduced after Uvalde shooting

"Canada moved to make the sale of handguns illegal under a sweeping new bill introduced in Ottawa Monday in the wake of the Uvalde, Texas school shooting.
Flanked by government officials and advocates, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced a “national freeze” on firearms in the country as he referenced increasing homicides in Canada and alluded to recent mass shootings south of the border.
“It will no longer be possible to buy, sell, transfer or import handguns anywhere in Canada. In other words, we’re capping the market for handguns,” Trudeau said.
“People should be free to go to the supermarket, their school or their place of worship without fear.”
The legislation is all but assured to be approved by Canada’s Parliament, and is expected to be enacted this fall."

Typical of Trudeau, any excuse will do. He has an agenda, he pays off our national media and whenever he sees an opportunity, he goes for it.

He may hit some bumpy weather up ahead though. The provincial election in Ontario just went resoundingly towards the conservatives. That is considered a picture of how the country is feeling. Ontario is usually the way the federal vote goes.

All the newspapers were saying the conservatives would lose. They won by an astounding 80% or so (don't quote me, that's what I thought I heard this morning). Now the media are wringing their hands wondering why and how they got it so wrong.

It isn't a matter of our allowance is it?

Evil did triumph in Uvalde.
God shepherded the near 2 dozen souls home. :(Afterward.
Sorry, but I disagree. God's hand never stills in His work, just because free will results in evil. He is still in complete control and His heart is still seeking those who choose to commit such evil. He never promised that life would be free of suffering, but He strengthens us and provides peace and comfort, even if the timing isn't always to our liking. And lest some think I am being trivial about such horrific crimes as this shooting, just know I have endured some horrific things myself and my attitude towards the evil I endured is identical. I would never have chosen it for myself but what God worked in me and through me as a result of it is a blessing I would never trade.

Evil did NOT triumph. It did take lives.

Lives that in the case of children go immediately to heaven with our Lord. As 2 Samuel 12 reports King David said of his son that died in infancy "He answered, "While the child was still alive, I fasted and wept. I thought, `Who knows? The LORD may be gracious to me and let the child live.'23 But now that he is dead, why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I will go to him, but he will not return to me."

God and God alone determines our lives. God didn't pull the trigger on that gun, the murderer did that on his own, out of his own free will. But he wasn't allowed to take any life before it's time.

Some of the lives were adults. We are all given a certain amount of time here on earth, some more than others. Unless we are alive at the Rapture, we will ALL face death.

Job 14:5 says this:
A person’s days are determined;
you have decreed the number of his months
and have set limits he cannot exceed.

and Psalm 139:16 says this:
16 Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

If this life was the only one there is, and death is the end of us, then evil triumphed, but for the Christian we know we will go to Him on our death and we are free from death forever.

Those who die without trusting in Jesus as their Saviour go to a place known as Hell, Gehenna or Hades, with the Great White Throne judgement ahead, where they will be cast into that Lake of Fire meant for the devil and his angels that fell with him.

Rev 20:11-15
11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15 Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

The way to get your name written in the book of life is to believe in Jesus Christ, that he was the Son of God, and that He died for your sins, that He rose again.

Since NONE of us know how much time is left in life, it's best to get saved before we find out we waited too long, left it too late.

I love the Roman's Road to Salvation. It's a set of verses in Romans that explains the way to get saved. Since I don't know who in future might see this thread, I'm speaking to any who read this and want to be saved! NOW IS THE TIME, we don't know how if tomorrow we will be gone.

Here it is from Got Questions linked here: https://www.gotquestions.org/Romans-road-salvation.html

The first verse on the Romans Road to salvation is Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." We have all sinned. We have all done things that are displeasing to God. There is no one who is innocent. Romans 3:10-18 gives a detailed picture of what sin looks like in our lives. The second Scripture on the Romans Road to salvation, Romans 6:23, teaches us about the consequences of sin - "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." The punishment that we have earned for our sins is death. Not just physical death, but eternal death!

The third verse on the Romans Road to salvation picks up where Romans 6:23 left off, "but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 5:8 declares, "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Jesus Christ died for us! Jesus’ death paid for the price of our sins. Jesus’ resurrection proves that God accepted Jesus’ death as the payment for our sins.

The fourth stop on the Romans Road to salvation is Romans 10:9, "that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Because of Jesus’ death on our behalf, all we have to do is believe in Him, trusting His death as the payment for our sins - and we will be saved! Romans 10:13 says it again, "for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sins and rescue us from eternal death. Salvation, the forgiveness of sins, is available to anyone who will trust in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

The final aspect of the Romans Road to salvation is the results of salvation. Romans 5:1 has this wonderful message, "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Through Jesus Christ we can have a relationship of peace with God. Romans 8:1 teaches us, "Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." Because of Jesus’ death on our behalf, we will never be condemned for our sins. Finally, we have this precious promise of God from Romans 8:38-39, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Would you like to follow the Romans Road to salvation? If so, here is a simple prayer you can pray to God. Saying this prayer is a way to declare to God that you are relying on Jesus Christ for your salvation. The words themselves will not save you. Only faith in Jesus Christ can provide salvation! "God, I know that I have sinned against you and am deserving of punishment. But Jesus Christ took the punishment that I deserve so that through faith in Him I could be forgiven. With your help, I place my trust in You for salvation. Thank You for Your wonderful grace and forgiveness - the gift of eternal life! Amen!"

What stood out for me in your extensive post, and thank you for taking such and interest and the time to respond, is this as relates to the observations in my post: "...God and God alone determines our lives. "

It would be a lot easier to make that poster if he had a mug shot taken - but he did not have to submit to that. Try to find one on the internet. I did learn that in 1957 he was charged with misdemeanor manslaughter for killing his brother who was a passenger in a car he was speeding in and wrecked.
How do we know he really was arrested, if there's no mugshot?
Is a mugshot something arrested people can refuse?

If guns kill people, then pencils misspell words, cars make you drive drunk, and spoons make you fat

Nehemiah 4:16-18
From that day on, half of my servants carried on the work while half of them held the spears, the shields, the bows and the breastplates; and the captains were behind the whole house of Judah. Those who were rebuilding the wall and those who carried burdens took their load with one hand doing the work and the other holding a weapon. As for the builders, each wore his sword girded at his side as he built, while the trumpeter stood near me.
2 Chron 23:7
The Levites will surround the king, each man with his weapons in his hand; and whoever enters the house, let him be killed. Thus be with the king when he comes in and when he goes out.”

I don't know the percentage but I think they got 80 something seats. The NDP were in second with 20 something and the Liberals lost official party status with less than 10. Some deep-rooted NDP ridings were flipped to Conservative which is rather impressive. My family is from the Niagara Region which always, ALWAYS goes NDP. You can imagine what it's like growing up Conservative in socialist/commie hell. haha You'd think people would see by now where the NDP policies take them. We lost pretty much all of the GM plants and, even though I was a kid at the time, I remember the Bob Rae days. I kind of wish the New Blue or the Ontario Party could have made more of a mark but the two new Conservative parties never had a chance as they couldn't even unite as an alternative party. I heard an alternative party was forming here in Manitoba but haven't heard much in a long time.

Today was the last chance to vote for the new leader of the federal Conservative Party. I put it off too long so missed my chance. I was just really torn about voting strategically or with my conscience. I also didn't want to give any money to the establishment Conservative Party. There a lot of tough choices ahead. Just a little annoyed I wasn't more assertive in making one here. Every time the leadership is up for a vote I tell myself I'm going to put down the money and do it and I just put it off. The guys I hated most got in the last two times. Not that one vote would make a difference. But still. I want to earn my right to complain.
