Calling Evil Good and Good Evil

I am teaching Isaiah right now and the verse about those who call good evil and evil good is coming up. I need some good examples of this in our day and age...I will be checking over the next week of so...if you know of any now, or come across anything, post away...:)

Home with Jesus ... waiting for you all.
The media calling Israel bad and Muslims good
The liberal media glorifying everything the Bible warns against
Martyrdom of Muslims while killing others is seen as good
Murdering unborn babies is a "choice" not a child
Social "tolerance" of other lifestyles being the norm and Christians being called "closed-minded"
Christianity being banned in countries while leaving the other false religions
The "prosperity (heresy) gospel" and emergent church's social gospel is good while adherence to sound doctrine is bad or "militant" and those of us who follow sound doctrine and refuse theirs are standing in the way of social progress of all religions getting along.

I could probably go on and on, but I'll give some others the floor....

Gone permanently
Saying that Jesus was just a good man. The fact is that if Jesus is not the Messiah/Son of the Living G-d/Raised from the Dead, etc. ad nauseum, then He is a lunatic or evil. If He were not exactly Who He says He is, then He is NOT good.

In Jesus' Kingdom Soon!
(NOTE: What I'm seeing from a Christian perspective is more apostasy than anything else. While I definitely consider much of the apostasy to be "calling evil good", I think many other things fall in this broad category as well. Things such as RFID chips/tattoos, tracking, big brother, wire tapping of ordinary citizens, giving up our freedom and rights to fight terrorism, etc. Many people consider these to be good things......I call it evil.)

calling evil good (from a Christian perspective......mostly signs of apostasy)

"mammon-loving" televangelists begging for money (pimping preachers)...... (Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, Peter Popoff, Jesse Duplantis, Creflo Dollar, Marilyn Hickey, Rod Parsley, Joyce Meyers, Paul & Jan Crouch, etc, etc.)

heaping up false prophets/teachers/false Christs (itching ears.....lack of discernment)

holy laughter/drunk in the spirit (not biblical)

"purpose driven" anything (Rick Warren)

the use of worldly tactics to draw in large numbers to seeker sensitive churches with their watered down gospel

worldliness in the church (sensual dancing, dress, entertainment)

making people feel comfortable in their sins

not preaching the truth of God's word in church as not to offend anyone

the removal of hymns and hymn books from churches

slaying in the spirit (not biblical)

accepting motivational speakers with "sheep masks" on as if they are preachers of God's word (Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyers, etc.)

WoF movement/"name it and claim it"/prosperity gospel

ecumenism

acceptance of homosexuality in churches

lying and saying Islam is a peaceful religion

drinking beer during bible study ( link here )

replacing church hymns with U2 songs

new age/contemplative prayer/mysticism/seeking after supernatural signs and wonders/miracles

adoration of the Pope and praying to Mary (Roman Catholicism)

and on and on and on (what a mess!!!)

calling good evil:

seeking after righteousness and holy living (God's will in our life)

believing Jesus is the ONLY way to heaven

saying you MUST be "born-again"

calling for people to "repent"

speaking out against worldliness in the churches

speaking out against sin

It's really sad to say, but most anyone standing firm on the things mentioned above in this category are often accused of playing the "better Christian" game in the Christian community. I disagree.

ok..............someone else's turn now or I might just write a book here.

I think the list is very complete, so I just wanted to interject a little something I witnessed. My daughter wanted me go see a new movie about a mother daughter relationship because many people have told her I remind them of this actress, Diane Keaton, I have heard she is a lesbian, not much credit to me in that way but she plays a mom alot. In this movie, called," because I said so.." the mom is trying to keep her daughter from making the same mistakes she did and also tries to find her a husband....this is the part I noticed, that the girls thought nothing of talking about the initmate details of thier sex lives with the mom and each other, and the only thing that was made to look like it was evil was that the girl ended up dating two men at the same time and was sleeping with both of them. This was the evil two at once, one alone was fine, the other sisters sleeping around with one was fine or several at different times, but two at once was bad. Thats the world. I told my daughter that the sex in the movie was not good and I did not care for watching that even though it had funny parts. My daughter is 22 and still a Virgin so I still try to point out the evil made to look like good...`~smile~.

My thoughts...

Evil is Good

The advent of psychology/new age
Womens' Liberation Movement (left-wingers)
Blasphemy/Cursing as "just an expression/doesn't mean anything"
Universal HealthCare (centralization and lack of privacy)
Open Borders
Humanism
Political Correctness (lack of sincerity and freedom from fear)
Talk Shows and Gossip/Reality Shows
Technology to the point where it becomes about self and lack of one's surroundings or fellow men
Lack of respect/manners
Be yourself not matter how bizarre

There are many others.... leaving room :pound:
